I used a blue and maroon nike bad all the way through Jr golf and into my late 20s. I miss that bag so much. Imma have to look into those. Though I rarely carry anymore.

Been on a putter spree lately. The testing continues with a re-released classic!

 

Rolled this thing the best of all the putters I tested over the last couple of weeks, including all the 2024 new releases! We’ll see if she will stick in the bag!

Nothing too special this week. Eddie Van Halen driver cover and a new LTDX 5 wood. On Monday I’m getting a new to me set of 2021 T300’s.

Reshafted and regripped Cobra Vintage Sport 60, had to use an adapter for the carbon shaft to flow neck.

Definitely on the softer side! Think it’s just aluminum. Picked it up in Nov for next to nothing cause of the ding, doesn’t seem to effect the roll at all.

If there is a tried and true lesson in golf, it’s when things are feeling right and your “relatively” dialed in, switch stuff up and shock the system!
Truly, just a present to myself for hitting 30 year pension mark at the workplace.  Yes kids, pensions were a thing back in the day for some of us old bastards.

Spider was actually purchased on release, the wedges and irons in the past week.

Everything is new but the T24s are the newest. Long time Vokey user but trying something new in the two highest lofts this go around. Best looking wedges Ive had! 
Stayed with the Vokey route with my 50 and went with an SM 10. They definitely shrunk the 50s this year as well as the other lower lofted wedges I read. Was surprised to see the T24s just a bit larger. 
Finally some PXG Gen6 P’s to replace my Gen4 P/T combo set.

Picked up Mizuno 923 Tours and over a few sim sessions I realized I just don’t have the horsepower they require. I play to a 5.9 HC but just don’t bring a ton of speed to the table. Swallowed my ego and returned them for Srixon ZX5 MKII’s. Hit ~200 balls with them today and I am absolutely smitten. Lower spin but descent angle and height were outstanding and most importantly to me, no “hot spots” or “trampoline” feels on pure strikes. (And some new SM9s to solve for gapping differences)

Horsepower.... well done on the reality check. Play what works from the first hole. Play to your strengths. Eg for me it putting and chip n run plus 100m and closer to pin. Great irons are inspiring. Average irons, i sell in a week!

I bought some callaway iron heads, and the seller told me they wrapped them up in a golf towel, then stuffed them in a Sim 2 driver head cover, to protect them during shipment.  This was the golf towel:

@trying2scratch so far so good! Really like the texture, and the square-ish shape.

 

@settling4birdie have only tried this cobra putter from last gen, but I think there is something to the SiK/LAGP descending loft inserts. Alignment looks pretty good to me, but I’m not overly picky about that.
