Look for previous posts on DD, maybe starting with what happened to some of their accounts i.e. Ping... It's cool that you like them, but manufacturers are usually not okay with dealers discounting map products. they will pull your account.

He was suggesting not calling them out blatantly on a public forum and declaring as a matter of fact that they engage in pricing manipulation to gain an "illegal" competitive edge. Yes, anyone may be able to call, and maybe get great...let's call it customer service...but lets not purposely get them in trouble

Compared the Pro Combo 6 iron to the Pro 6 iron yesterday. I have to say I was appalled at how much offset the PC 6 iron had in comparison to the Pro.

Im not sure why every one is complaining about the offset haha. I know that's your opinion, but it is really not bad. If anything I would of expected more about the top lines haha. they are a little bigger than some players cavities and seems bigger than the last Pro combos. but overall they are a forgiving and soft forged iron that i though everyone was looking for haha Hard to find a forged iron this forgiving in a smallish package

I guess for me that offset isn't that big of a deal but maybe some people think differently. I'm playing the pros and the wife is playing the pro combos and so far we both love them.

Coming from ping I like the vpc because of the size. Pretty much right in between the I20 and S55. Though I would probably prefer a bit less offset.

Size of the VPC's looks really good IMO. Offset is minimal and topline has a little meat to help mishits.

I played my set again the other day. From my review you may remember I was pulling everything. So that next round, I just set up a little more closed and expected a draw. Guess what I got? Draw! I think Nike had the VPC's in mind for "every golfer".

Genius in my opinion. Make some bladeish clubs that more people want to play and sell them for a G Note!

40 degree and 10mph wind. Nothing but 3/4 shots all day. VPC perform well on those shots. Wish I had the pro PW as I like the shape better.

Yes, the VPCs seem a little "Japanese" in design. A gooseneck/offset look in the shorter irons. I was planning to do a 9i and pw pro change if the 9i and pw of the Asian Pros don't have the black PVD as well.

played again with these bad boys yesterday - it was cold (35*F), little windy but...i didn't care. shot 73 (+1), had 4 birdies - all because of these irons. point/shoot then putt.

finally got the short irons bent, what a difference. I can't wait for spring to get here...these clubs are game-changers.

Anybody know why the stores (or Nike) aren't really promoting Nike (any more ?) ?

Nobody (Tour Store, Edwin Watts or 2 Golfsmiths) has a fitting cart or any shaft options. Tour Store doesn't have any demos. Golfsmith took a set of Vapor Speeds with an "R" shaft and put that set out as a "demo".

Golfsmith has ONE set or irons on the wall, the Vapor Speed. At least Tour Store gas 1 set of each on the wall.

I tried hitting the R shafted Vapor Speeds and actually got some really good results. Would love to try it with the DGS 300 instead of the stock Dynalites ("R"). Would like to give the Combo's a whirl as well,,,,,,,,,,,,

I now have my Speed's. 5-A with DG S300 and Volt Velvet grips. They are more confidence inspiring than my Apex and much much cleaner than the G30's I've played. I love the flight and feel of these clubs. Anyone who is on the fence needs to take the plunge. I went with the Speed because the offset is the same as The VPC and quite a bit more forgiving. Using the DG S300 kept the flights a bit down.

I'm currently playing the old TW VR blades. With these irons my usually shots are slight draws but sometimes I can't control them. I went to the store last week to compare it with Vapor pro, and I had straighter shots and less dispersions, but maybe 2-3yds longer in distance. I played with my VR today and played pretty well(shot 77, 8/18GIR) in wet and muddy condition. Some of my shots were thin but I played 1 club longer and I was able to hit it on the green. I'm still planning to buy the pro, so I can have better GIR.

I'm thinking about getting VPC for 3 and 4 and pro for 5-pw, but it's really hard to find this combo. I might just go with 4-pw or same ad my current setup 3-pw.

Hit a demo 6i with DG Pro S300 at Edwin Watts today. I'm playing JPX 800 Pros right now, and the VPC are replacing them in a month or so. The VPCs are great irons! Hit them higher than my JPX 800 Pros (and a few yards more of carry) and loved the feedback from mis-hits. They're kind of a tweener iron in my opinion. I'm a 9 and they were small enough to make me feel like I needed to put a good strike on the ball, but not small enough to be afraid of a mis hit.

Wish they weren't $1100 though...

I've been debating this as well. I'm probably going to get a 5-PW set, if I get the 5-6 or 5-6-7 in VPC will they be the cavity back or RZN back?

Totally Agree with this, I went split 4-7 VPC and then 8-PW pro and couldn't be more happy. The extra forgiveness in the 7 is a big boost.
