I sent my epic in for a paint and he said 2.5 to 3 weeks plus the time shipping it back.

The result is so far beyond my expectations that I demand that they increase their prices.... A LOT.

Got some pics yesterday from Justin of my r15 430 that was refinished in SLDR gloss grey with brushed face and some paintfill change- as always, impressed with the work and the ease of dealing with the guys!

Has anyone used CG to remove weight from the head of their putter? How'd the process to? How much did you get removed, etc.

We don't do a lot of projects like this to be honest. We dont have a milling machine that will sound slot although that only removes a small amount anyhow. Feel free to PM me with the type of putter and your goals and I will check with the team in the back and let you know if its something we can do for you.

 

@mitchell I LOVE that slider grey with the brushed face. It just looks so clean!

When you play putters around 36.5" they get outrageously heavy pretty quickly haha

I could look through this thread for hours. I’m so impressed with the way CG delivers on all the high maintenance, PITA things we all ask them to do. I’m so glad I sent them my clubs this winter, I’ve gotten loads of comments on them and they’ve held up great.

Yes CG staff are such great people, I’m lucky to be 20 mins from them. They did a great job on both my putters above!

I would like the "center section" of my TP Red Ardmore 3 painted white (area around alignment). Do you remove the red paint or just paint the white on top? I'm a little worried about the weight.

We won't remove all of the red paint but if we did something like this it wouldnt change the swing weight more than a point I would bet. Its not much you are adding to be honest. The biggest issue if once we have it in hand seeing how we could tape it off to keep a clean paint line for you and I just wouldnt be able to answer that until we could mess around with it a little.

I accidently nicked the back of my driver head and chipped it, and will need a refinish come this winter. On my M1 430 I kept the TM logo on the crown but the clean look of it being covered is super appealing.

I see you have the Tensei Orange in this head so I can understand the added weight to the head, but what weight are each of the 4 weights
