This is so funny for the rest of us, like the time all DC's valuables rolled into a pond.

 

All fun and games till I have to buy a new rangefinder. Actually thats not even the most annoying thing, its getting all my apps/files redownloaded and set up on the new phone. So annoying.

 

Added note - had my waterproof speaker clipped the the top of the Clic, it was a $20 cheapo from Amazon. Figured there's no way it survives as its sold for outdoors or I think even shower use - but not meant for full submersion either way. Its been in the car for a couple days now, took it out today, fired right up.

 

Added note x2 - since this morning Wunderground has upped the snow in Alexandria on Tuesday from 1-3 to 5-8". What in the F? Thats definitely moving in the wrong direction.

I just had an interesting conversation with my crazy neighbor. It started because she saw me and asked me to move my snow shovel away from the door, because crooks can use it to break windows. Because my cheap a** plastic shovel is the tool of choice for criminals. Then she told me that tomorrow is a full moon (which is true), and that "more rapes and murders happen during full moons." Which I don't necessarily doubt, but is an odd thing to bring up to someone when you live in Bethesda.

Other interesting things my crazy (but entirely harmless) neighbor has said to me in the last year:

-That we should get rid of our countertops because they are marble. Which is radioactive. She saw them after inviting herself in when my wife was home alone.

-That our HOA water drainage project should be re-evaluated because the companies use PVC instead of metal. It's just cheap plastic apparently.

-That the thermometer "feels" a windchill just like humans do.
