SPRING FORWARD!!

If you introduced someone to Kung Fury, and and they didnt love it, would you divorce them? Im asking for a friend.

She would probably beat your @$$, so no.

You'd also get reamed at the courts. Bad plan.

City, I'm back home visiting the folks. This is the on-tap list for growlers at the beer store by their house. What should I go with?

They also do 32oz cans of everything on tap.

http://cd.chucks85th.com/draft

(their website needs some work...)

The last one listed is a solid winner too, especially when the wind chill is below 30. Old Rasputin.

You should buy TM I heard they are doing really good.

PIng makes decent irons

Titleist only small changes

Bridgestone nice irons

Srixon really good irons most people don't think about.

But if you must go with Callaway..

More offset (.25 ish) than the Apex pros but less than the CF16.

Chunkier top that blends in better because of the finish and offset.

Longer toe than others. Cast but polyurethane behind the face for better feel.

Bend it like Beckham or hit straight balls.

Unfortunately, upgrade shafts will cost.

Sarcasm with the TM statement? I heard the feel of the M1s leaves a lot to be desired. Not sure I have the game for their two better player irons.

I've looked at the Srixons and they feel nice when I'm on, but miss the mark and the distance loss is huge. Shorter overall blade than my Mizunos too.

Which Bridgestones are you referring to? I haven't seen anything new from them in a while. But the J15s are money.

Not opposed to Pings, just have no idea where my game fits into their lineup.

I love how Titleist irons feel but the AP2 seem to spin a lot for me even with the lowest spinning shafts in them. However, I did play well with my old AP2s...

Ok guys hypothetical question:

You hand me a 56 titleist wedge with an S grind and tell me to hit five shots from 100 yards. Then you hand me a 56 titleist wedge with an M grind and tell me to hit five shots from 100 yards. Will I have any idea there is a difference?

I demoed wedges on both full shots and chipping today. I had to go inside to let my hands un numb after the full swings. Cold.

Yeah, you might. I don't think you should hit one noticeably better than the other, since those are full shots (ball first). Turf interaction could very well be different though.

Is this not actually hypothetical?

I've never really thought the grinds had an effect on full shots... More like how they interact with the turf on touchy stuff around the green and how you like to lay the head down.

I was just trying to look unbiased on others OEMs.

Im ditching my Apex blacks for the Steelhead pros.. My miss is on the toe and cast clubs are better for mishits for disrtance (wise tell..maybe).

With that being said they are right between game improvement and our "baldish"irons so to say. However, the topline is chunky still, so some will be turned off.

You also could look at the Apex pro combo set ( 8-A apex pros and 7 up CF16) You can build the set 6-A if you wanted too ,etc.

So, thats what I would recommend. The CF16 are nothing to scoff at either but depends on what you are looking for... forgiveness, playability...all of the above?

Maybe how the grind keeps you from digging? Or how it performs on different types of turf? Maybe that has more to do with bounce than the grind... I chose a particular grind for my 58 because the heavy heel relief inspired confidence when I was looking to open the face and hit one high.

Steelhead Pros the same as the Steelhead XR Pros?

I hit the CF16 and the feel wasn't great, but the results were good. A mixed set like you said might not be a bad idea. I really want to try them on real grass rather than mats indoors.

Yes the same..

Feel is as important as looks for some.

If you are digger the soles of the Steelheads XR pros will help with that..

I think the biggest differences will be around the greens as others have already posted. Unless you're playing from extremely hard or soft fairways, the sole grind shouldn't matter too much on full shots. Also, whether you have an excessively steep angle of attack will impact the decision too. For me, the M-grind was very versatile around the greens, but I found it dug a lot on partial wedge shots from further out, because I tend to play those with a very steep, punchy swing. The S-grind (I have 200 series Vokeys which are essentially the same) are great on full and partial shots, but not as versatile the closer to the green you get.

I hit 52 f and loved it and hit it great. I hit 56 m and just hit it weird. I hit like 50 yard pitches with the 60 m and liked and hit it well. Probably 30 shots total. And my hands were literally numb.

Then I went and chipped with both and really liked them around the greens. Based on internet descriptions there didn't seem to be much doubt that 50 will be F and 60 m. I assumed 56 would be S. not sure now. I'd like to actually try it. I think they may have had a 58 s I could use to compare and contrast for full swings.

I could tell that my grooves are worn. I guess 5 years is a good run for wedges...

Played 9 this afternoon and then fired up the snowblower and let in run for 10 minutes to make sure we are good to go for Tuesday. I am so bad about winterizing/summerizing my gas engines. Every year I have to take something to get fixed. Pleased to have the snowblower fire up and run smoothly. ABC/package store stop tomorrow on the way home from work, and I should be good to go.
