I was under the impression we were going to get at least half a foot and was glad to see only a couple inches, but as soon as I got out there with the shovel and hit nothing but crunchy wet snow, I said screw it and came back in for another coffee.

Yeah but to cut the weather people some slack, it looked like this region was on the edge of the system, so it could have gone either way pretty quickly if it shifted a little. To my untrained eye at least. I don't mind working from home today, but the roads are still going to suck tomorrow with the refreeze.

Some anti-biotics, steroids, water, water, water, and a little light headed, but I'm at my desk. Interesting drive even if it was only rain on this side. Hoping this junk clears out of my head and off the ground for this weekend. I need some sun and warmth on my face soon.

 

Gotta say I was a little disappointed in the Phil part deux last night. Felt like only 30 minutes of new stuff really. Oh well. One the bigger guys he's had on there and making it 2 parts this time of years is alright, I guess.

I'm taking the day off at home with the kids. Bundled them up for about 15 minutes out there this morning. It's only a couple inches, but it's straight sleet. Gotta be crazy slick out there, and a nightmare to shovel. High school kid should be coming through sometime today to save the day. No improvement in the last ~2 weeks for the back and shoulder, which is disappointing. At least I won't blow it out shoveling today.

Yeah, the temperature levels are very concerning. I'll talk to the course tomorrow.

 

I'm all for letting it hang and see what happens Friday. I'd like advance notice, but it's not out of the question to cancel morning of the tournament. Had it happen plenty of times.

 

Sucks for RVA. We're gonna try to call it earlier. This is in direct struggle with the desire to get it in.

I'm not really a believer in golf karma and things just managing to not work out for Kent, but I am a believer in golf revenge. Next outing, we are going to pair Kent and 827 in the same cart. The night before, 827 and I are going out to gorge ourselves on vindaloo. Then we'll let nature run it's course. Just have to time the dinner so that maximum effect is reached at the time Kent and 827 are farthest from the clubhouse, so 827 rides back and ditches Kent.

After getting up and deciding not to kill myself on the roads I went back to sleep for 3 hours. Went outside just now to brush off the car, sure seems nice and warmed up. Lots of snow melting off the cars. Unfortunately its going to be brutally cold between this afternoon and Friday or so.

 

Briefly thought about going in to put in a few hours and save the vacation. Nahhhh.
