Just found out I'm playing in a school club tourney at Cross Creek next weekend. Any useful info I should know? Never been there before

#CCCP is almost ready to launch. Teaser pic of the current state of the leaderboard for the first period, based on scores posted on the Grint. If you guys have scores that do not have a hole-by-hole score on the Grint, they do not provide an automatic course handicap and differential. If you want those to be included you have to enter hole-by-hole or calculate the differential and course HC yourself.

 

Props to siegel, who I think was the only person with a negative net differential at Bulle Rock. He's definitely getting some bonus points for that which should take him in to 1st place.

I received it. It says: "...any day before 3PM, April 1 through April 14, 2016 and receive up to $20 off." So, it could be less than $20, and if so I'd suspect weekends would be the time they don't give the full amount. Just want to confirm with 'em.

conditions can vary, but that dumbA routing doesn't.

You might enjoy Cross Creek if. . .

 

Your idea of fun is a 460 yard par 5 where the smart play is 7 iron - 7 iron - 7 iron.

 

You enjoy courses that go fairway -> two yards of rough -> cart path -> woods (not marked as lateral)

 

You prefer par 3's where you can't see the surface because of uncut brush and you can't miss short, long or left.

 

You like half mile drives through neighborhoods between greens and tees.

 

It just tickles you pink to hit off mats at the range while 30 yards of untouched grass lays right in front of you. . .and you can't hit it more than a 5 iron.

 

If you like hitting 5 shots per round that look fine off the tee and then you can't find your ball and have no idea if you should drop or go back to the tee. Or, you like hitting provisionals on 18 tees "just in case".

Not going to happen for another revision or two past this one. Despite playing like crap for the 2nd half of last year, my cap didn't move up that much because I had some good scores further back that are going off the books now. The next round I play is going to push out a 9.7, which was my lowest differential in the system. So I'm replacing good scores with my old good scores, which a bunch of terribleness in between. I was on the verge of going up to ~16.

WM from the tips is 74.7/145. I can't think of a tougher course that I've played in the area. Congressional Blue is only 75.2/142 from the tips at 7300 yards.

 

WM is probably a little over rated because it plays shorter than the yardage, but probably a little under rated because the greens are diabolical.

 

Putting up a good number there is legit.
