Never posted here. My KREW Blade. I got this during their holiday sale. Probably no better deal out there.   I have changed some of the paint fill since.

 

I was very surprised at the quality when I received it...I will likely use this as my gamer for the year.

I thought the head of your CMD was a deep black. The patina is a better look imo. Get us some nice pics

 

I'm planning to let my oil can KREW patina in the same way.

It was but it turned rusty recently I guess. 

 

This was the face when new.

 New Ping Scottsdale Anser. Waited 20 months for Ping to build it and it was worth the wait. 
 

I couldn’t remember everything I requested. I was expecting the old style Scottsdale head with old school Ping stamping in the cavity with tungsten plugs and a finely milled face. What I got far exceeded my expectations.
 

Rounded bumpers in a more compact head I was expecting. The finish is just beautiful and almost iridescent in bright sunlight. Weight and balance is perfect and the impact sound brings me back.  The milling is on deeper side and the cherry on top was the sight dot.  It cures my desire (for now) to order a PLD custom.

My CMD Gauge R with some age to it. Finish is starting to brown, just threw on some oil and will let it to do its thing slowly.

do you have any issues with the putter at address? As in does it rock backwards bc of that ledge?

That "ledge" is there to create sole draft, basically if that wasn't there the putter would basically rock shut. All putters should have a draft angle, some are milled where you cannot see it this one is milled like this. Jayme basically got the idea from Evnroll and one other brand and he did it because I think he didn't have a vice or mount or something so this was easier for him at the time and just kept it.

Where did you order this? I haven't been able to find a LH option, and I also have only seen smooth face options in RH--love the milling on here, and the tungsten plugs are a nice touch.

CMD Gauge Tri picked up from here. Not my preferred flow neck but I'll take a well priced CMD. 

 

Rolled about 50 putts with it today and it's not awful with the topline and a decent forward press. Will give it a go then decide if I want a new neck put on or move it.

I asked the local shop and a Ping rep very very nicely after I saw a similar putter they made one for the owner of a local shop I give all my business to. With the success of PLD / custom PLD they said it’s unlikely any more would be made soon. Apparently there’s one guy who makes these using machinery that is outdated (for lack of a better term / explanation). 
 

I originally ordered a B60 version as well but cancelled when they said headweight could only go as high as ~330g. That would’ve been a sweet score as I’ve never seen a B60 like that.

I present the oil can 2 ball. Found out after stripping the plating that the bottom plate is stainless and not carbon. Lost around 13g in plating. Luckily the back rubber piece is a pocket of goo. Shoved a tungsten weight in there and it’s back to 360.6. Got the bottom plate and top part pretty close In color. It’s more brown than the photos show. Clouds and poor lighting in the garage.
