Push Carts

Saw this at Golfsmith and I'm currently looking into a push cart. I saw the Sun Mountain V1 and the Clicgear 3.0 models. What do you guys think about those models and what are your thoughts/opinions. Also, which one would you guys recommend? Please and thank you.

I love my clicgear (first edition), I've had it since 2009 and still running strong...can't go wrong with either one...

First thing I recommend is that you get this thread moved to the bags and carts forum. The Equipment forum is for clubs.

Some research on push carts will show you that Clicgear has a rabid following and is the most highly respected cart by far. I discovered this while researching a while back so I bought one, and now I count it as one of my best ever golf purchases.

I got a Sun Mountain and only used it once it was fantastic and it was stolen out of my garage along with a pretty bad-a** folding ladder i owned. Not sure why they took the push cart, im just glad i keep the clubs inside the house.

Not sure you can go wrong with either of those choices.

I vote Clucgear 3.0, what a great piece of equipment. Well designed and sturdy. I have no opinion on the Sun Mountain as I have never used it but I can't imagine it being any better than the clicgear

Either one really, you can't go wrong I feel.

I'm also glad that more and more people are welcoming to push carts. It's a healthy alternative to golf carts and carrying.

Clicgear is great, but I bought a Caddytek 3 wheeler from Costco online and it is fantastic. I believe it has all of the features of the Clicgear at less than 1/2 the price (I paid $99.99, free shipping). I've had it for 6 months, 50+ rounds, no problems.

Got the clicgear 3.5 recently and love it. Came from electric trolley and wont go back. Very easy to push.

Love my Clic Gear. If you are going to spend the money, spend it on a well regarded brand like Clic Gear or Sun Mountain. You won't go wrong with either of them. Both have their loyal customers.

Personally prefer the Clicgear. Borrowed my dad's 3.5+ i bought him as a gift a couple years ago. i was already walking but have been getting tired of carrying my bag. decided to get myself one and went with the new Rovic s that has the swiveling front wheel. makes it so much easier to roll around and turn the cart. i do like the m8 from clicgear also. it will go over anything!

Everyone in my regular 4-some has the Caddytek from Costco. Can't say enough good things about it. Very sturdy, lots of accessories come standard, easy one click open and close. Don't get me wrong, I like the Clicgear but the Caddytek is great too and should be seriously considered. And no, I don't work for the company.

I strongly recommend you consider a model with the option of a seat. My Bagboy 3 Wheeler has a padded and spring loaded seat that is just wonderful. For me the standing during a round is far more exhausting than the walking. My bagboy probably has 300 rounds.

I guess I'm out on an island. I have a SunMountain Reflex and I love the thing. Folds a bit smaller than the V1 and that works best for me as my car does not have the worlds largest trunk. Construction and performance are flawless.

I bought the first Clicgear, then a 2.0, 3, and 3.5. They were all excellent carts. Recently I purchased a Big Max Blade and I highly recommend taking a look at it. So far I'm very impressed.

Another vote for the clicgear. Although I'll doubt you'd be unhappy with the sun mountain cart. If you can find a local shop selling both, bring your bag and try it on both. Go with whatever one seems to set up better.

I bet if you scrub the entire WRX site, there are probably at least 3,000-4,500 posts about things being in the wrong sub-forum. Pretty big deal around here apparently.
