Nike Lunar Control 4: The Official Discussion Thread

Now that people have worn these shoes for some time now, I'd like to know how they honestly feel about them. In particular, how do they compare to Lunar Control models of the past? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Got mine (white/gray) in yesterday and will try them on the course this weekend. I honestly thought the toe swoosh was going to be bigger--really like the look of these!

I finally got a round in with these shoes and they are my new favorites. Super comfy and stable. I always felt planted to the ground and the narrow mid section hugged the arches of my feet perfect!

Tried to get into the Nike Employee store last time I was in Portland, no luck. Would love to get in there some day!

A buddy has been trying for years to get in as he's a huge Nike sneaker geek. He's working his contacts...hopefully he can get in and pick me up some stuff!

3 years ago they used to kick you out for taking pics in there, now they invite you to.

It's generally that way every Nov. through the 1st week of the year... Most employees and family members do not even attempt to go during that time frame. Every employee gets an extra 5 passes and on top of that most families wait until that time of year to go. Last year before the redesign I saw the line go all the way through the center of the store, back along the footwear wall from golf shoes to the kids shoes and then back to where the dressing rooms are now. STUPID.

Yeah, it was that way this year too. I've been calling on Nike for 8 years now and it has gotten worse every year. This year, the line to get in stretched out the front door and through the first lane of the parking lot stopping traffic completely there. That was at 10am. I decided to go over to Adidas and have my meeting and come back. When I got to Adidas, they had corrals set up outside to house everyone trying to get in. I went in and had my meeting and came down and went directly into the store skipping the line, thank God. Went over to Nike that afternoon and was able to practically walk in. But the check out line stretched back to footwear. Saw one of my Nike contacts and she had me come with her to the employee checkout area. Saved me an hour probably.

I usually try to avoid the store this time of year as the shoes are usually all in non-normal sizes. But, as I've done this job, it's amazing how many friends you make that ask for a favor.

Does anybody have a concept for your LC4 ID's tomm? Is changing the color of the swoosh on top the 1st thing you plan on doing? Just curious...

I am not impressed with the color options on ID. Also,disappointed to see they raised the price $40 over the LC3 ID yet limited the color options. Big miss by Nike here.

Any thoughts on the "Medial Base" option? I don't like the asymmetrical design. I think I prefer the stock colorways over the ID.

Some of the Id options are OK, would love it if there was an option for green on the swoosh.
