Fubuki's - still relevant??

Yes.  I have tried other shafts but the Fubuki just times with my swing the best.

Just ordered a back up for my driver, another Fubuki K 60x ,, will most likely go into a G425

I liked the J better in a driver because it felt a little firmer in the butt to mid for some perceived additional stability. For fairways, the K and AX were better, to me at least. Easier to load with some action, but not too much. I'm not someone who needs something super stiff and low spin though.

I also still use this unicorn from time to time. In an Adams/TM adapter with a XTD Ti 20 deg. Thought some of you might appreciate it.

LOL I just dumped a full set of IZs.. Coulda upgraded to leather 

 

 

Really sad.. This is iteration 3 or 4 of those shafts. Meaning I bought 3 sets previously...

Fubuki’s always confuse me (most MRC do because they keep making slight changes and adding new subtypes of each shaft - Fubuki, Tensei, whatever).  Anyway, for a driver, I’m about 90 mph, mid flight, mid spin.  

 

Would be interested if there’s a Fubuki that would be good for me.  Currently I’m in an m2 (2016) w/Accra AC 55, M3 flex.  Looking for more distance (who isn’t).  I generally hit ‘em pretty accurately.  

 

Every time I look at Fubuki, I just get confused...

Still rocking the 75S in my 3 wood. Idk what it is about the Fubuki but I have always hit them well in anything I’ve had them in. Have bought used clubs from Japan with Fubukis with expensive shafts waiting to replace the Fubuki and end up just leaving them alone.

Or one of the newer v versions. They were pretty much made for your swings peed (assuming swinger vice hitter)

The V is a pretty sassy looking shaft.  Buddy of mine at the club that swings 95 moved to that in 60s and picked up 20 yards ...

Like Russ I still have a T515 hybrid shaft that has worked in a number of hybrids for me.

not in the bag at the moment only because it has a Taylor made tip on it and I don’t have a TM hybrid at present.

not sure about EI profiles but I find the Accra FX 2.0 and the motore speeder TS 8.8 work for me also but I will most likely go back to the Fubuki if I find a new TM hybrid head that I like.

I'm an average joe ~100mph swinger, and Fubuki K 60S in my (now ancient) and ZL Encore driver still in the bag. It's still one of the best clubs in the bag, and I don't plan on switching anytime soon.

Fubuki K 60x back up shaft has arrived, I think she is pining for a G425 driver head ..... 

 

To be fair she is partying with 200 friends in my basement so she should be OK for 3 months, but likely deeply hungover

Well not to brag but I will, it is minus 8 Celsius at the cottage this morning and I will tell you about a match the Fubuki and I had yesterday

 

My bud Z and I took on two kids in a 2man better ball at my home club.  One kid is D1 in Texas and the other is D2 in the NE

 

It was 30*F out, threatening snow, cold and breezy and frankly I had a deep chill to the bones by the 12th

 

What made this match fun was we tossed in an emergency 3rd player, my brother, that they could use if need be ... they used him twice FWIW

 

I DID NOT MISS ONE FAIRWAY WITH THE FUBUKI ... again.  (Which I why I got the backup)

 

Back the THE MATCH (Canadian version so not to offend Hogan and Nelson lovers)

 

We all bogey 1.  The kids both birdie 2 and we are 1 down.  We are tied thru 4 before the slaughter starts. Z and I birdie 5,6,8,9,10.  TSN turning point, the college kids both miss 3 foot birdies on 11.  I par 12, a 190 yarder over a lake ...with a wind from 10 o’clock for the win after a lot of splashes by the rest of the 5some

 

We then lose 14 to a two putt on a long into the wind par 5.  We then birdie 15, 16, 17 and call a Brinks truck to come help us drag home the cash.   It was a great cold Fall Canadian Golf Day !

Been playing fubuki alpha 60 R in my driver for the past 9 years 🙂 (not a big tinkerer after getting fit). Just out of curiousity does anyone have an idea what current shaft would be close to this one in profile?

Would the Ventus Blue 6X be a similar profile to the Fubuki Tour 73 X?

Love my Fubuki Ax f65 x5ct S on my strong 3, adam XTD.  It’s a fw, so length is shorter.  

Question1, Need something similar to the Ax to be tipped for G425 driver. Prefer Fubuki, but 45”, 

Question 2, does the K60 play similar to the Ax?

The alpha was the running mate of the Ax fairway. 

 

If you prefer lighter weight and fubuki, maybe try the fubuki V

Fubuki ax500 just ordered off the bay, sadly with a TM paint scheme.    Not as pretty as the one above

 

Still loving the Ax400 in two Cally hybrids.  I find they consistently hit my launch windows and carry numbers

 

New Epic super hybrid on order as well

 

Fubuki 73x has been a beast in my G400 3 wood for tip and tuck season to date.   7600 yards is a lot of fun with little roll and buried pins on slopes I tell ya
