We're members of the Fenton (Mi) Moose Lodge #430.  The yearly dues are reasonable ($125).  About a half hour away, so not exactly close.  But they have good food and drink at very reasonable prices.  Friday Night Fish Fry is excellent, with walleye as an up charge option.  NTM, it's located on Lake Fenton (845 acres) so the view out the windows or on the deck are great.  Gets slammed on summer weekends when the boat crowd ties up.

Love me some Walleye! Only a few places this far south where they can survive and thrive, so I don't get to partake a lot.

Some restaurants around here advertise all you can eat Walleye for $12.

That is based on the story that Pollock, a saltwater fish is a relative of Walleye.

The lowest price I could find for Walleye was $18.93 per pound. Pollock from China is normally under $4.00.

When the Cod populations started to decline due to improved fishing techniques, and factory ships that fished year round until their holds filled, there were steps taken to limit harvest, and the price increased tremendously.

One option that was introduced was Pollock. In the U.S.A it was mostly used in catfood.

It has a stronger fishy flavor, than Cod, and tastes nothing like Walleye to me, but it's cheap, so quite a bit of it is  sold.

Oh yes, it is. We are in our own little area but the industrial park next to us did grow some. One of the things we love about it besides the fine members and staff there is in the Summer tourist season we do not have to put up with tourists and their bratty spoiled kids. Being in a tourism area we do have visitors from other Lodges but like all Moose members they are good down to earth people

Greetings from Palma. Just trying to post before STU gets up. That is all.

🤓😄

I was up real early posted in the Classics Section around Midnight. Had a busy fun productive day yesterday. I was at the course before sunrise on the Patio eating a Greek Salad with Cantaloupe and drinking coffee. First light I was on the range hitting my blades. Told the owner's son who was lining up carts for the Shootout that I was trying to hurt myself. Went out and hit 50 balls and was ok. He asked what if I hurt myself? I told him one of 2 things--- The Cadillac knows the way home and I had the graphite shafted CBs in the trunk. Did not hurt myself and put the blades into pay. Really played well in the Shootout. With the team we had we shot -8 which was good with those guys. I had been easing into my "old school" style of play with methods and equipment anyhow. Had a blast. Now the old grips on the blades (GP Wraps) were old and have been on those irons 10 years and had gotten slick. In fact I dug out a new glove and kept wiping them down on every shop. Left the course and stopped by a bud's house to pick up the paperwork and extra clips for my Ruger 1911A 45 cal. Left there and went down to the local golf shop where I did business at and picked up 7 Lamkin Crossline Cords for the blades. Believe it or not came home and installed them. My wife prepared a splendid dinner of scallops and fresh local green beans. I took a shower and was in bed by 6 no joke. I was tired but not hurting or stiff. Ended up waking up around Midnight or so watched the golf between the thunderstorms and posting on here some and FB. Went back to bed at 2 or so and am up for the day now.

Edit--- I forgot I did a 30 ball session on the machine at the shop to test a theory on ball speed on CBs versus blades. My theory was correct. More ball speed and less spin with the CBs versus blades. With me I am not concerned with distance or speed but feel and spin which for me equals control. I was actually stopping the ball on those dry tight greens yesterday with my little cut and lots of spin. True with the blades I was using 1 to 2 clubs more but I could spin and work the ball and had my distance control back

I hope to get 9 in today. If I do I think I'm gonna take the Cally X-Forged back out. Now that my iron play has improved thanks to @Soloman1 I'm gonna give them a little time.

I’m not connecting the dots.  A pedal pad coming off and potentially becoming dislocated and then lodged in the interior trim , in a 1 in a 10 mil shot , makes him a fraud ? ? ??? This is normal car / lawyer dancing.  Kind of like Toyotas floor mats that were too large , and some idiots managed to somehow cover and press the accelerator with them as they danced to bruno  mars while driving.  This is why ford has anchors on the drivers floor mat.  For idiots.  They’ll now have to mold the accelerator pad to the pedal - for safety of idiots.  The article clearly states that “ force applied “ is needed to dislodge the pedal pad.  Meaning if an idiot  picks  at it , it might come off.

Fortunately, after all to hype, the only sold

3,800 of them 🤣

Thats less than Delorean sold! Perfect for a Back to the Future reboot though lol

I actually met one in the road last week. First one I saw in person.  I know a Doc who has an order in to buy one. A year of waiting so far .  Crazy to me.
