These look great, and go forever. I just couldn’t get the spin I need. I’m a picker, so my spin is low anyway. 7 iron spin with these was 1000 less than my gamers with the same shaft.

I still have mine and love the feel, forgiveness and distance. A full club and a half longer than my MP 30s.

 

That being said, I still think I’m in the wrong shaft. I’m going to take them to a different fitter and see what he says. I have the KBS 115 ctaper lites x flex. I really get along better with the longer irons, but feel like I can’t control and work the short irons as much as I’d like to.

I was fit for the 900 forged with the wrong shaft. Worst I've hit irons in my life, until I reshafted them with Nippon. Then the clubs really came alive, feel very close to a blade now and a big difference. It is amazing how much the correct golf shaft makes a difference...at least for me.

^^^^^ Bingo! There was a pretty big difference for me in feel and ballflight when I was testing different shafts but when I found the right one I knew it right away.

Next Sunday there is a mizuno demo day that I plan to attend and bring my clubs. I’m going to see what they say and maybe try the new MP series.

I really don't think that has much to do with the irons. Unless you normally play a super super low - no offset set of blades.

 

Maybe your lie angle is wrong? When I was getting fit at first everything was fade, fade, fade. Then we upped the lie angle and it was perfect, was hitting mostly straight and could fade it. Couldn't really hit a draw at the time(never really tried or worked on it) but now I can hit draws also.

 

Only way I see it being the heads is if it is way more offset than you normally play one if it's too upright for you. Aside from shaft those are the only 2 possible things that could be doing this for you.

Agreed. Nothing about these heads that inherently make a fade difficult imo. Flatten the lie angle on your 9 iron and give it your stock fade swing and see if that helps before you buy new sticks.

I never mentioned the heads bring the issue. As I posted, I believe I’m in the wrong shafts.

 

These HEADs feel amazing, are long, and the turf interaction is great.

 

I came from MP 30s in DG 300s and I could control my flight much better.

 

I’m going Sunday to Mizuno Demo day with my clubs and going to see what they say.

For me, the Nippon Modus series seem to complement the load and feel of Mizuno the best, but that is particular to my swing. However, I grew up mainly a DG S300 guy.

I know soon to be superseded but everyone raves about these irons.

I used a mates set for 9 holes and they were great straight from the getgo, without any range session at all

Just bought a set. I had been eyeing up the jpx900f for a while...then I noticed they were on sale. When I demoed them they were the first non MB iron I've ever liked.

When I was fitted for my 900F, I also hit the i200. Obviously I hit the 900F better since that’s what I walked with, however I also his 6 other brands and the i200s finished a distant 2nd to the 900F.
