Mizuno jpx 900 forged

I'm seriously considering a split set between these in 8-9-P and then 5-6-7 in the hot metals. I'm actually going today to hit both sets. What can I expect from those who have hit both? If I like the distance of my cally xr's, will I like these MiZZYS or am I setting myself up for disappointment? Thanks guys.

Being a lefty im going in blind. I did get to see the rh heads in person though and they all look great to me.

You will be thoroughly impressed. Probably more so with the hot metals. They are hotter than the xrs but with wayyyy better sound and feel.

When you say hotter. Do you mean it's longer?

I have hit both and I was impressed with both of them. The 900 forged has a better feel and sound. The hot metal is a little "clickier" but was a little longer for me. If I had to choose, I would probably go with the forged as my dispersion was a little better for some reason.

So I finally got out today for my demo on the forged and the hot metal versions of the JPX 900's vs my cally xr's. I did not care for the hot metals. They felt very heavy and the sole width seemed very wide. I agree with others here that they felt very clicky and there wasn't much feel to them to me. On a positive note, there wasn't much offset to them at all.My xr's far outperformed them. On to the forged....they were sweet. Very sweet. The size, on both top line and sole width, were perfect. They definitely looked friendlier than standard mizzy blades, which these dont pretend to be. The feel was great too. Not the standard butter feel you'll see in the mp series but great nonetheless. Distance was on par with my xr's which I didn't expect. Also they were surprisingly forgiving.I had originally considered a split set with the hot metals up top (5-6-7) and then the forged 8-9-p. After hitting both today I am leaning towards going all forged. Theyre sweet for sure and if you're in the market for new irons, you'd be doing yourself a huge favor giving these a hit. I'm still on the fence of leaving my xr's. I'm planning on trying them in another shaft as today was with xp95 in stiff and I wasn't crazy about that shaft.

Try the Modus 105. After trimmed to size will be just under100 grams. Felt good with good distance and dispersion.

I just ordered a set of 25's but still have time to change the order. I see the lofts are stronger in the jpg 900.

These look great, would like to try them. But don't really understand the need for loft creep. They are:

I hit the JPX 900 Forged today and own the MP 25's. I wouldn't say there's a big difference in feel but for me the 900 Forged are longer. I was consistently hitting the 6i 175 yards with 165-170 yards of carry, which is about 15 yards longer than the MP-25's with the same shaft.

I will say, these are one of the most appealing sets for me next year. I think it'll come down to staying with the AP2's or going with the 900 forged

These look great, would like to try them. But don't really understand the need for loft creep. They are:

850 forged were already strong enough:

It's because they launch higher because of lower cg placement. So, they simply strengthen the lofts, which helps with the added spin from the higher launch as well giving a more boring ball flight. They're not trying to trick anyone, it's just the design.

The 900 Forged and Hotmetal are both really nice irons. The Hotmetals are soft feeling for cast clubs IMO. I'm happy with my AP1's for now but I'm sure I will keep playing and testing on the Trackman at Golfsmith and PGA SS over time to see if they offer additional benefit from what I play now.
