damn these are getting some serious love. people just dropping the coin on the spot. Seems to be good feedback with the LZ's also. I am curious what the set GW looks like.

 

I got my 900 Tour's and T7's today, and the 52* T7 looks like the next club in the set, could easily be a "set" GW for the Tour's. I also got 6.5 LZ's all the way, first round tomorrow.

 

Just bought the 900F with the PX LZ 5.5 after looking at a couple of different irons. Eventually, the 900Fs won vs. the CF16s. Distance was similar to CF16s and the feel was much better. The LZ shaft works really well in this club.

Do the LZ steel shafts feel stiffer than normal.I was fitted for the 6.5 shaft but I wouldn't go for it as I am 69 years old.

I opted for the 5.5 which feel stiff enough to me and just slowed down my transition which was fast when I was tested.

To those of you have hit the forged version, would you have any comparison experience between these and mp 25's?

I just ordered a set of 25's but still have time to change the order. I see the lofts are stronger in the jpg 900.

I hit the JPX 900 Forged today and own the MP 25's. I wouldn't say there's a big difference in feel but for me the 900 Forged are longer. I was consistently hitting the 6i 175 yards with 165-170 yards of carry, which is about 15 yards longer than the MP-25's with the same shaft.

 

I am currently using the MP-25s and have the 900 forged on order after a 2 hour fitting. I hit the 6i 17 yds farther then the 25s. However way different shafts. I was using graphite but ended up back with steel 115 gram shaft. I thought the 95 gram in the 900 forged would be perfect but hit the 115gram the best. They were ordered on the Sept. 15th and still waiting with no estimated delivery yet. :cry:

I got my JPX 900 Forged set last week, will be trading in my MP-25's next week. Feel is just as nice as the MP-25's but like the extra yardage and higher ball flight of the Forged.

Picked up my 5-P set of the forged this afternoon with the Project X LZ 5.5. So stoked to get out on course in the AM tomm. In my multiple test sessions the feel was amazing and distance was on par with my Cally XR's. Will plan on posting a post round review tomm.

Spent some time with a 7 iron and 9 iron at the range at a demo day. Very impressed with this head matched up with the Project LZ. Has anyone gamed these yet? What kind of distances are you seeing in comparison from what you played before? Do these shafts balloon? How are the LZ shafts overall?

Haven't hit these yet, but definitely more compact looking then the 850 forged, which is great. I play the 850 forged and although I really like them, they could be a little smaller and better feeling. Not sure how the new ones feel (I've read a lot of good feedback in this forum), but they definitely got the perfect looks down. The 900 tour were smaller than I expected.

900 tour are pretty tiny. Ordered mine yesterday with PX LZ 6.0. Looking forward to them but it will be difficult to say bye to the 59/69 combo which has served me well for the past 4-5 years ?

That's because they're new and not necessarily better. As a WRX'er it's imperative to try the new buzz, regardless of fit!

If they LZ doesn't work you can easily sell them and cover the cost of going back to standard px

Anyone have any comparison's against J15CB? I want to take my recent set I purchased back and exchange them for the 900 Forged but the J15's are awesome as well.

I seem to hit the XP 115 R300 the best but we all have different swing/preferences. I didn't ask what shaft I was using while being fitted. It just worked out this was the best shaft for me. I'm sure the LZ shafts are great from reading the other reviews.

Hit them in the sim along with the Modus105 and PX LZ. Liked all 3 and got comparable numbers and went with the Recoils because of my tennis elbow.

 

Haven't hit them as they arrived after I left for vacation.

The 900F feels like a forged club IMO as the CF16 definitely does not. As someone who was playing cast clubs prior to the 900F, the CF16 feel much closer to cast but it's still a great iron. The feel just is way different.

Mine should be coming this week with the recoil 95's. When I hit the 6 iron on trackman I was getting really good numbers. Slightly better then the project lz steel and modus.

If I remember correctly the Apex irons aren't really completely forged, just a section of them. The rest of the iron is cast. It is like hybrid iron with two different pieces put together.

Picked my clubs up and went to the range and hit them tonight. I consistently hit the 5 and 7 iron. The rest of the set I struggled making solid content with. Probably my crappy swing. Going to get another rang session in and see how it goes.
