If I was to compare (no hate please) to the TM P Family these would compare to the P770's?

Probably the most truthful, factual, accurate comment the site will see today.

To each their own, the 13's are still one of my favorite iron sets.

Of course each to their own but there is no comparison between those and the 07. It's not even remotely debatable and what the poster said is 100% accurate. New isn't always better.

True newer is not always better, to me the 815 DBD was better than the 816 DBD and that wasn't close.

But the point is clearly debatable because it's an opinion. I prefer the 13 to the 07 and I am not alone in that. The fact that two people have differing opinions on a point that can not be proven by an agreed upon standard metric makes it debatable by definition.

I think what you and the OP mean is that the 07 is better FOR YOU and that is not debatable. I am sure that is true and I would not attempt to debate you on what club works best for you.

You seen there is hope you will come to your senses. The 815 DBD is superior and you realized that. The 816 was simply marketing as we're the 09 and 13. No performance improvement and just more "bling" to sucker people in. The same can be said of any MB they release when compared to the RAZR and protos. I can only guess you didn't hit the 07 and their Endo goodness.

By the way I'm busting your balls but the 2013 are butt ugly in comparison and as I said they offered no improvement over the prior models. 09 are the same. Back when they were released I had several people with 09 look at my 07 and ask why they couldn't get those. They only complaint I have ever heard was that they would dig for some people which was "fixed" in 09 but I never had that issue. I'm thinking of breaking mine out this winter and reshafting them along with my new Tommy Armour blades and throwing them in the bag once in a while.

I love the 13's, the shape is perfect to my eye. I never liked the look of the 07, but if you have a set and like them I can understand you being partial to them. Or maybe you still have a concussion from when boomer sooner ran over you guys with the wagon? Sorry, had to.

To get back on topic, the more I look at these new ones the uglier they are. Unless the new Apex Pro is drastically better than this it looks like Titleist for me next season.

It's odd that the UT lofts don't align with iron lofts. Maybe they will align with the Apex Pro lofts?

To me this is very similar line up to what Titleist has done--- MB, CB, TMB, AP2, AP3, AP1 with Callaway, it is Apex MB, X Forged, Apex Pro, Apex, SH Pro, SH, XR/BB OS. Titleist just doesn't offer the SGI club.

This appeals to all level of golfers and gives the better player even more options overall. I like the plan on the releases. Apex Pro and Apex still sell extremely well and will be at the end of the 2 year cycle in 2018.

If the APEX UT is still hollow body, which it looks to be, then it will be longer the correct distance gapwise even if only 2-3* less loft than the iron below it. Hell, just bend what you need to to get the correct yardage, always wondering why loft matters any more at all, just get them gapped and going the distance you want them..isn't that the big benefit of forged, easy peasy bending!

These look fantastic! atleast based on the backside view they don't seem to blend well with the new MB line but as long as the heads from the top look similar I'm good.

Apex Pro 16s took a lot to get used to coming from Ping S55s but they're great clubs. I just wanted to get back to a squarer toe and leading edge!

Why would they come out with a new Apex line if they release these? Seems like to much overlapping.

Totally different irons. Apex is a multi material distance iron. Like AP3/2, P790/770. These are much more in line with Titleist CB or P750.

I thought they looked promising until the picture at address was shown. Obviously you have to see them in person but those look bigger than I had hoped and don't look nearly as good at address as the Epic Pros in length or top line. Should never have sold the 07s although they were getting a little long in the tooth. Never liked the 13s from the beginning, immediately went back to the Prototype Xs followed by the Razr Xs and then MB1s which only varied in groove numbers over the years. Always thought they were a hybrid CB not a MB but they were better feeling and more forgiving for me than the X 13 CB forgings. Glad I kept my MB1s, wish I had kept 07s and had them rechromed and regrooved...

The rep. had a 7 iron in both the CB and MB. The fitters said they weren't any better in performance or feel than the 918 CB or MB. Once again said November 3 retail date...just in time for winter..

Ironically in Callaway pre owned they have two pre owned 07 sets at $243-273 that are labeled average which often is fairly beaten up. Was reminded those were also from 1020 not 1025 as well

Bending changes the offset and bounce. On some clubs it makes no difference visually, on others it does.

If the hollow head design does allow weaker lofts to blend correctly then great, can't say for sure without a launch monitor.

It isn't just Callaway, Titleist expects their sets to blend and the T-MB 4 & 5 would blend with the AP2 great, but the AP3 lofts don't line up and that is a cast head.

Mizuno did the best job of allowing blended sets with the MP-18 line based on making them so loft adjustments result in perfect offset for the other sets.

Either way, these are not visually appealing and won't be in my bag so it doesn't matter, I will wait to see the Apex Pro.

Looks like no Apex UT update for me. They're not making the 24 degree 4i replacement in lefty. Damn I was really hoping to buy the irons and the UT.

Why couldn't the X-forged iron have the same cavity as the UT? I really dislike how the area on the irons where X-Forged is flattened out. I like the look of the UT better - the continuous little ridges with X-Forged over the ridges.

Callaway always seems to do one or two things aesthetically on their clubs that leaves me shaking my head. Cleveland used to do the same crap. Its as if they look at the club and say "this looks really, really, good.......how can we screw that up just a bit?"

These are super intriguing. Between the 718's, the TM 730/50/70/90's, and the MP-18's next year seems to be a pretty damn good year to be buying new irons.
