He's not wearing a white belt. Hooray!

To me he was never the same once he started with the white belt

The belt wraps around your waist. The waist is essentially the lower back / spine area. Tiger Woods back problems are in the area where his belt would sit.

Therefore it is only logical to assume that the white belt caused the spine problems! :beruo: :Schooled:

So reading Tiger is on the course practicing anyone have info on his bag setup?

Sorry to thread jack but what driver is in that Callaway bag? The rogue?

That's Patrick Reed's bag, and that does kind of look like the Rogue. The Epic is solid on the sole - and that driver certainly has recessed area(s) like the Rogue.

Curious as to what his iron loft specs are to go from 3-P into 56 and 60. I knew years back they were traditional which was weak, and not wold be SUPER weak specs compared to the new industry norm.

Pretty sure the spec sheet from 2013 stated 49 degree pw

Mizuno ST190G atmos 6s
Mizuno MP18 2fh / PX 6.0
Mizuno MP18 3-Pw/ PX 6.0
Mizuno S18 5310+5812/PX 6.0
Ping TR Anser 1966/ 34”

Ball - pro v1x
Grips - Crossline cord

Lofts 18 , 21.5, 25, 29, 33, 37, 41, 45, 49, 53, 58

So only Woods and a utility iron. 9 other clubs and Bridgestone ball. Hopefully endorsement deal is playing, performance, and equipment based. Stupid if they are paying him same as DJ, Rose, Rahm, Day that are Taylormade totally..

Can’t blame him on the wedges though, I found those TM milled grind wedges to be the harshest feeling out today. Great look, nice variety of lofts and bounces, but awful feeling. The P790 Wedges felt really soft by comparison..

Easy to do if you can hit a halfish pw consistently. Easier gap than not having a 56 in my opinion. I always missed the 56 more if I try to go to 3 wedges.

Why ? You can't see iron logos on tv anyway. And 99% aren't going. To buy a set of blades if they had TM stamped on them. I think it's no different than if he had TM everywhere. Plenty of people won't think of playing anything TM except woods. So it fits.

Look Tiger is the GOAT, you need an ego to be that good, and I guess he has earned the right to be demanding. But to me it screams "I'm so good that I need something different from everyone else. Nobody makes anything good enough for me." That's just how I read it.

You're right. I mean Phil would never ever had Titleist make the 731PM irons just for him. Wait what? ;)

ETA: Callaway has also made clubs just for Phil. Phrankenwood, that scooped out hybrid, wedges, etc.

God forbid he's just more comfortable with these irons than any others he's tried. Ego, look no further than the gear on here!

Pretty easy to see on TV when DJ switched from 2104 TP MBs to 2018 P730s. Maybe not noticeable if you watch golf on your phone.

Supposedly he didn't have time (because he didn't want to push his back) to test all of the new TM equipment to the levels that he would have liked to before this event. Story is he will be testing more equipment over the winter season and could be switching up his bag after the winter. I'm most interested to see what irons/wedges he comes out with.

Hmmm. TGR logo m1 driver cover. Is it an m1 now ?

Edit. Never mind. That's 3 wood cover. Which is 17 m1.

That is probably the 5 wood. Last time he played he used the 2016 M2 Driver, 2017 M2 Tour 3 wood, and the 2017 M1 5 wood

He had been using the '16 M2, but it looks like he may have moved to the '17

Looks like he’s still tinkering with the setting on the driver. Last year it was grip logo up and now it’s sideways.

Smart move on TWs part. I think he will have some sort of TM stamped irons/wedges in the bag when 2018 hits.

Any info on if the UDI is a 2 or 3? Not unusual for him to travel with a 2 iron and a 5 wood for practice rounds, and I assumed he had the 2 iron based on the videos of him hitting the stinger... looked like it had a PXi shaft in it which is what he played in the driving iron previously.

Gotta be a 2 iron based on Faxon’s comments. Said he pulled a 2 iron from 265 in their round, and his bag pics show a blade 3 iron

99% of people don't notice when someone switches irons. People on here notice and nobody else.

Taylor Made wants the pictures of these guys hitting drivers. Every picture in a blog, on FB, on Instagram are of DJ, Day, Tiger hitting driver. And everyone sees the driver. They see the bottom of the driver and there is no doubt about the brand.

DJ at impact hitting a 7 iron does nothing to help Taylor Made.

Yep that was a typo. Or unfinished thought.

Taylor made isn't going to make money selling anyone TW blades. They will make money selling m2 and fairways though. Biggest shock to me is that thy didn't try to get him to play a new ball. But hey. Again. He's tiger woods. They have to take what they can get. A piece of something is better than all of nothijg.

True. But I bet that costs more than the clubs. Lol. Heck. They should have been smart. Gave him tee up money for the woods and paid for name on bag. Who cares what other clubs he plays. I mean we care. But why would TM ? They are selling GI. Not blades and vokeys.

I agree, if I’m TM I would have gone for woods and the bag. The Bags much more noticeable than the irons and wedges. But Monster probably has a lot of money to spend on advertising too so outbidding them probably wouldn’t be easy either.

I thought his deal with Monster was over at the end of this year? If so, I wonder if they will resign him? If not, TM should make a move for a bag deal.

He is Tiger Frik'n Woods, so not stupid at all. When he's on tv he still moves the needle more than those others combined
