TGR looked pretty good today. I hope he's back!

If he's back, 2018 could be the best year of pro golf in a long, long time.

I agree. TW is back! Yet there are still naysayers and haters. Brandel Chamblee among them. He needs Tiger to be perfect, no chunked chips, no drives off the fairway. What?

Brandel is a cranky old tour player who wishes he was still out there and wants to see older players fail.

Think I'm too extreme? Nope. That is what he's paid to do. We all need to put Brandel in the context of what he is--no journalist, a geek for GolfChannel. He might as well go to SiriusXM.

But I digress...today was joyous for me. After weeks of doubt, waiting for Tiger to buckle down after a shot, expecting bad shots and frustrated slams of the club....he was great. A few errant shots (that's golf) a couple frustrated actions that were followed up with great shots...TW was back today.

If he is still back on Monday, we have a new era, my friends.

Scotty in the bag.

SC in play,he drained about 3-4 putts over 15 feet, and most importantly he didn't miss any putts under 5 feet.

He's a different putter with that flatstick in his hands.

I think most of the “haters” are people who are skeptical his back will hold up long term. Call us in 12 months.....the skeptics not the “haters”. I also recall a lot of comments stating they hope he swings under control to take pressure off the back. So really you are just trying to stir the pot, not make constructive comments.

After watching Tiger nuke the UDI today I’m surprised prices haven’t sky rocketed!

Prices went up after J. Day and DJ used them to win often. I remember on eBay a couple 2-3 irons were going for $400 + at the height of the UDI.

How long before TM get a proto set of irons in his hands?

I heard he's on a performance based contract with little up front, so for both to cash in he needs to be using TM stuff.

I just remembered his PXI 7.0 shaft on his UDI is only tour-issue. I think it only goes up to 6.5 for retail?

I didn't think Chamblee was negative on Tiger yesterday. I watched the entire round plus pre/post round on Golf Channel.

Stir a pot?... Sure some people were saying his back won’t hold up, but there were tons of people on here (many who also said they don’t like tiger) saying he’s washed up and he can’t keep up with all of the young guys and he has no chance against Rory, J.T., etc. He was hitting second pretty much all day. Just awesome to see him out there and playing as well as he did

You're right--the skeptics are okay and not as bad as out-and-out haters and golf bromance addicts. But I'm a glass half-full guy, not half-empty. Tiger was hitting second yet led JT some of the day. JT came back nicely and they ended up tied.

Maybe I was a little hard on Brandel above and basing my criticism on his attitude in general, which is to give no one praise without something negative or controversial. But that's the only way can increase his viewership, to be controversial, often outrageous, always aware when he is giving too much praise.

Well, 1/4 of the story is in the books. Hope it has a happy ending.

Rooting for Tiger. Would make an epic movie if he pulls off a win.

Exactly. Wondering if he'll make another 5 rounds and then disappear. Look back to last year and after an average start everyone was talking about him winning at Augusta. I got slaughtered for pointing out he couldn't pick a tee out the ground. I'm a hater? Then it all went quiet when he needed another surgery.

I'm surprised he's -3 but let's see what his schedule looks like. Can he compete over a longer period? What is "competing" for TW?

When KyleKoz was saying that Tiger was hitting second, he wasn't referring to not having the honor on tee. He was saying he was hitting second into the greens on Par 4's and 5's b/c he was out-driving JT.

Gamblers have spoken! After one round at the Hero, Tiger has better odds to win the Masters than Phil Mickelson.

The X-rated,drug fueled scenes would be epic. Is Denzel Washington too old for the role?, he's a great actor, but I think we need to find someone younger....Phil will play himself, and I see Justin Timberlake playing Justin Thomas.

I can't wait for TGC to play it non stop the entire month of December 2019.
