Not sure why this is funny... Tiger was rumored in his day to have a SS of 135mph or more. Last I remember in TM’s aeroburner commercial DJ topped out at 127. With The variation in spin and mishits this could easily be a possibilty

It’s only funny to tiger haters that think he’s done. To everyone else, it’s believable considering he still had good speed with a bad back during his last comeback. Anything to fit the haters’ narrative!

I think someone from Nike confirmed that the TGR blades were made for him before Nike left the business, so yes, VR Pros. As far as the ball, Bridgestone’s website has him playing the new XS, and they are giving away 6 dozen XS signed by him on Twitter. Doesn’t exactly mean he’s moved to it, but they did say that he would be involved in future products from an R&D standpoint when he signed with them. I would think that he’ll be in the XS, but we won’t have to wait long to figure out.

Tiger absolutely smashed in his prime and pre injury. Hell Jack clocked at 118 when he was 58yo. You can’t teach elite one in a million fast twitch fibers. They are built differently from the common man.

 

I’m 100% tiger could get to 135 in pre injury days. Scary thing is he was swinging steel shaft too...

Just thought it was funny that the poster that I was quoting predicted the next Tiger-recovery story. That’s all.

 

As fun as the media run-up is, we won’t really know anything for sure until he tees it up at Albany. Sounds like he’s pain-free, which is great news. But it might do all of us some good to keep expectations in check.

Oh, lighten up. Not everyone who expresses amusement at a Steinberg-led media campaign is a “hater.” It would be great to see him get back to his 2013 form, and it’s definitely possible. But you know, he might not! And that’s okay. Maybe we should mainly be pulling for him to be healthy.

These pictures were taken at the same time as the original commercial. Publicity for the new model, but he used the 2016. Videos of him today show the 2016 model. During the Farmers he used a 2016 model, but it had the updated 2017 crown.
