My best shot this year was after hitting a nice drive about 270 down the middle on hole #10 @NVGC (home course). I was left with 115 into the green and I hit my 54* wedge and it looked like it was all over the stick and it just flew over by a few yards spun back and disappeared into the hole for eagle! The plus was I actually got to see the entire shot. What was even more special the shot was during one of my club matches in GAP, so needless to say I won hole #10... :taunt:

best shot of the year was my opening drive at augusta. not that it was a particularly great shot but that wasn't what made it the best.

I was playing in a tournament this year and we got up to a dogleg right par 5. I decided to cut the corner because I was playing super well. I hit the drive and absolutely smoked it. I flew it about 290 and rolled out to 318. That thing was on a rope and even had a little baby draw. Best shot I've hit in a while.

My best shot this year was a perfectly struck 3 wood as my second on a par 5. It was dead straight and that kind that starts low and then rises after traveling a little way. Unfortunately I had skyed my drive so I still had like 60 yards left into the pin after the 3 wood shot. I like to think about that shot when I am between rounds to semi quench my "golf thirst".

My best shot in 2017 was on the 2nd hole at Sand Ridge golf club in Cleveland Ohio. I had 103 out in the right rough and I hit a 56 degree Vokey SM5 onto the green...it happened to randomly trickle in and I shot a career low that day of a -4 (68)!

Best shot of 2017 came about a month ago. Second shot into a par 5, about 210 from the flag and hit a hybrid within 10 feet. Don't hit to me par 5's in two. Left the eagle putt short. SMH lol

Holed out wedge (one bounce and in) from 72 yards for eagle on fourth to last hole of an outing, and my team ended up winning.

My best shot of 2017 was a 5 iron from ~187 to about 4 feet. I’ve had approach shots this past year closer to the pin, but none that were as purely struck as this one. It did just what I was trying to do, a little fade, pin high but right of the pin. The the excellent contact and resulting high fade were exactly what I was trying for.

Best shot this year was my third shot on a par 4 from 60 yards out using a lob wedge, that bounced near the flag and holed out for a birdie on the handicap 2 hole on the course ( usually have a tough time making par on this hole).

From 175 yards under two tree's hit a 3 wood that never went more then a 1 1/2 feet in the air it bounced about six times and rolled up to three inches from the hole, for a kick in birdie. This happened today, at 36 degree's and wind gusts around 30 mph.

165 yards out in the right rough through a gap in the trees had to hit about a 25 yard cut to a back right pin to an elevated green carrying a bunker, stuck it to a foot. One of the few times a shot from the trees actually came of the way I planned it.

Best shot of the year for me was in June on by far the crappiestt birthday I've ever had. Had to work (golf course) and my wife has recently moved out (separation). Wasn't doing anything on my birthday this year because I was a bit down in the dumps. One of my friends/employees wanted me to play 9 holes with him that day after we closed up the proshop. Reluctantly did, as I didn't have anything else to do but go home to an empty house. Surprisingly had a pretty good round going even with my head not in it, starting off birdie, birdie, par (tough hole), birdie, when we came to the first part 3 on that nine. Just stepped up, hit a high draw into the sun..couldn't see anything. Askedy playing partner "what the hell was that sound?". He shook his head... "You might like that". Couldn't see my ball anywhere as we drove to the green. One hop hole in one, and he was the only one who saw it. I couldn't due to the sun. First ever in my life, having playing for at least 30 years. On the worst birthday ever (so far, at least). Could barely finish that 9, but managed to slide in with a 33. -5 after 4 helped! Lol

145 yard par three with a steep downhill in total darkness. Been swinging terrible all day and was expecting to lose the ball. Pure contact and perfect divot - found the ball 1 foot from the hole and tapped in for a birdie to finish the day!

Best shot of the year...it's pretty bad when you can't even think of one. HIt the flagstick on the fly from about 140 yards. Of course it got a pretty bad kick, but a great shot nevertheless.

Best shot of 2017 for me was a drive in the fairway that put my scramble team within mid-iron range of a par 5 in 2. The hole is all uphill and the line I picked required a slight right to left shape over a couple of large bunkers to get to where the fairway widens. But it also slopes right to left at this point and I've never been able to hold the fairway when I hit it there. This time I did. Wish we made the eagle putt though...

Best shot of 2017... green side bunker, buried lie, perfectly executed 58* shot that landed five inches to the left of the hole and jumped directly right into the cup.

My best shot was a bunker shot from over the green that was all down hill, it was almost dark I was just trying to get the shot to not run off the front of the green. I hit the shot exactly as I wanted, I couldn't see the ball finish but heard it hit the pin. I got to the hole and saw it had dropped.

Best shot, Match Play, down 2 with 2 to go, Par 5, 215 out, slightly over corner of water, hit 5h to 10 feet. 2 putter for birdie, won 18, then won match on second playoff hole.

It was a 20 foot putt down the hill and it went dead center in. If it missed the hole, it was racing 10 feet by.

18th hole, 2nd shot on a par 4, 160 yards out in a deep bunker with my Ap2 5 iron and slam dunked it for the finish

My best shot of the year was on hole 14 par 5 at the North course at Chuck Corica in Alameda, CA. I hit a good drive that drew around the tree lined fairway just right to make the slight dog left more manageable in two. Stepping up into my second shot I was 217 away from the back pin and I pulled my 3 hybrid. I hit my shot and it was a crisp clean hybrid starting on the right side of the green and working right towards the flag. I knew that it was close but wasn't just sure how close. Arriving on the green I came to realize that I had a 2 footer up the hill for my eagle putt. After calming my nerves, I stepped up and sank the putt for my first eagle.

Best golf shot was during a ryder cup style team tournament at my club. Singles match play, 9th hole up 2. Opponent is sitting pretty with two putts for par from 12 ft. After a crappy green-side bunker shot I'm left with about 80 ft of putt, uphill, back down hill, and about 10 ft of break. Manage to drain it for par with a stroke The soul crushing look on his face was priceless.

Hit a less than stellar drive on a par four 426 yd hole. I had 192 to a elevated green which required me to hit a 80 yard hook around a group of trees about 40 yards ahead of me and over a green side bunker.. I pulled a 5 hybrid, set my face angle slightly closed at address and swung releasing as much rt hand release I could muster. It was just as I pictured it in my head as it hooked perfectly around the trees, flew over the bunker near the green, and hit soft rolling up to about 12 feet. I was amazed I pulled it off and proceeded to 2 putt for a par. Best par save I've ever pulled off.
