Best shot of the year had to be the downhill chip from over the green after circling the green for 15 minutes to stay away from the huge black bear at Whistler Golf Course. Out of heavy brush to 6 feet and shook the putt in for par.

I received my AP3 irons in late September and my first round with them I hit a 7 iron 148 yards to within about 4 feet! My previous 7 iron (Tmb) went about 140 at most. This was in our weekly Wednesday night scramble and enabled my team to win. Since then I have hit many other great shots with these awesome irons! I read the review on Wrx golf and am so glad I did.

My best shot of the year was in a two man scramble at RTJ shoals on hole #6, a par three playing 170 yards. Hit my titleist 712 MB 7 iron and hit the flag in flight and dropped down to a couple of inches. Thanks!

Played a lot of golf this year. Don't know of any single golf shot that stands out. My highlight of the year was being able to play 9 holes with our son who is active duty military. He hadn't had the opportunity to pick up a golf club during the first 12 years of his service. When we were headed to visit their new duty station, he commented there was a golf course down the road and he would take time off to play. Was so good to get out with someone so special and enjoy a short round with him.

Golf is such a Great Game.

My best shot this year was so good that I don't even remember it...or the beer blocked it from my mind

Best shot I hit was a 7 iron into a nasty leveled par 3 163 yards long that landed right next to the hole.

It was pure.

Best shot was 150 yd semi-blind shot behind a hill, so I couldn't see the flagstick. I only knew the distance and the direction. Flushed an 8-iron to about 3 feet for a tap-in birdie.

Second shot into a par 5 during an outing. 220 our 4 iron to 3 feet for a kick in eagle. Had a couple other looks at eagle but this was the only one made this year.

Thanks for the chance! My best shot of 2017 was a hole out from the bunker about 20 ft out. The bunker wall itself was probably 5 ft tall. My friends kept telling me not to roll my ball when hitting for the green and I kept telling them that I liked it when the ball rolls when I'm within 30 ft instead of flopping. None of them could believe it when my shot rolled right into the hole to salvage a par. The 4 of us were all yelling with enjoyment haha. Great shot at a great course. I'll never forget it.

Par 3 - Lasered at 141 yards. Playing slightly down hill and the hole was somewhat hidden due to a ridge running across the middle of the green. I hit a PW and we all thought it went in, but couldn’t be sure until we walked onto the green. Closest I’ve come to a hole in one, 4”. A bit of a let down, since I was sure I made my first hole in one, but it was the easiest birdie putt I’ve ever made!

My best golf shot this year was my PW second shot at the Road Hole. It was the second time that I had played the Old Course and after smoking a drive, I had 149 to the pin with the flag behind the Road Hole bunker. I was so pumped that I clubbed down to my PW and hit it so sweet. It spun to a stop about 8 feet from the hole.

 

I got a claps of applause from people that were watching. Closest I have ever felt to being a golfing rock star.

My favorite shot was at Squaw Valley in Glen Rose, Texas. My friend and I decided to use a vacation day and go play all 36 holes this venue had to offer. We started at 8 AM and hit the second course after a quick sandwich around 12:30 PM. The last hole was a Par 5, dogleg right. The green was accessible in two shots, but required me to hit a high cut over some trees from 220 yards..nailed it. Easy two-putt birdie before the drive back to Dallas.

Made my first eagle on a par 4 this summer, holed a 55* from 105. Struck it perfectly, spin it right back into the hole. Only bad part was that it was uphill, so I didn't get to see it happen. I was confused when I walked up to the green and didn't see the ball, 'cause I knew I hit it well. Checked the hole, and there it was. The good part was that I was playing with friends, so there were people to witness it.

 

I also drained a 50 footer for eagle in a high school match, that was cool too.

My best shot from 2017 was during a qualifying round at Frisco Lakes. It was hole 3, and was playing around 540 yards into the wind. My tee shot set me up at around 220 out, and I hit the greatest three hybrid shot of my life. I stuck the shot to six feet, and then went on to make the eagle putt. It made my whole year! Thank you for the giveaway, really looking forward to seeing the winner.

My best shot was on #4 at Gulf Shores Golf Club in Gulf Shores AL. It’s Black Friday. I am playing with two men I meet 30 mins ago on the first tee. I was playing the blue tees with a 180 yard to the pin. Front pen location and had to carry about 20 yards of water right in front of the green. Hit a high straight 7i and landed 8 feet from the hole.

Hit 6 feet short of the pin and rolled out to 6 ft , 2 inches, 2 inches left side of the hole.

 

From the tee it looked like it might have went in until we got to the green .

Playing a casual round with my best friend. Always a lot of smack talk. Par four he's right of the green. I'm on, but on wrong side. He holes out his chip shot and really starts cackling. Hit my putt, probably 80 feet with 10 feet of break. Right in the middle to match his birdie. I remind him about it at least once a week.

My best golf shot of 2017 was in a tournament at Vaaler Creek in Blanco, TX. Hole 1, Par 4, 343 yards. Drove the green to make eagle.

My shot of the year was an “assist” to a hole-in-one. So on a moist course, Saturday morning, made the bend about 9am. Then it happened....

We start very early on weekends, so there is most likely dew on the course, and I’m speaking of moisture visible on fairways and greens not frost. So 3rd par 3 of the day was playing 232 yards. Of the foursome I was 3rd to tee off at this point, 1st guy short of green, and then it get interesting. 2nd player pulls 3 hybrid, tee’s off; looked great but had no idea where it went (but were sure was on green...very soft green.

I pull my 915 4/21 hoping to catch this ledge in front of green and have ball roll out to back of green. Well, I take my shot....which had little “dink” sound of a well struck hybrid, and felt great. So we see high ball flight, ball coming down and ricochet about 15 feet up, and 5yds left. I thought for sure I hit pin, and my Jordan’s almost got me a dunk. As we are walking up, a player from group in front, was watching said he turned when hearing ball strike; says your never gonna believe this...the second ball was wedged between soft green and flag....my ball “whoever hit third shot, your ball hit his ball from carry, hit his ball and is sitting over there on fringe”.

I wanted to cry, would have been my first...but my friend got his second and had no idea it was plugged between edge of hole and flag, but my ball sealed the deal for him, and I saved par, and another day for my first ace....still waiting!!
