Crossfield on staff with Titleist (MERGED)

Crossfield is a knob. We love a bit of banter but if he played with our group he would be buried in the wasteland next to the 3rd.

Then you wouldn't enjoy our Swindle's banter as we are giving it and taking it for the full 4hours.

I assume you play with 2 nuns and a priest?

Allow me fellow Yanks. I'll make sense of this reply for you.

Basically he said that the other member would probably better serve his golfing time playing with others and that his playing partners are probably really nice.

Again....glad to help.

We rip onto each other big time. But not to ruin each others golf. MC does not differentiate, he deliberately tries to put people off there golf. In our group sister Theresa would smack you in the mouth.

Not knocking Crossfield or any other YouTube reviewer but in the end all they are is a single data point. They are not the absolute authority. Take everything they say with a grain of salt because they are reviewing equipment related to how they play not how many others may play.

Grain of salt alright. Neither Crossfield or Sheils have anywhere near a consistent enough swing to give meaningful reviews of equipment. They both have big variations in distance, spin and accuracy from shot to shot. Maybe you can listen to them about forgiveness and feel, but they aren't really good enough to give a credible opinion of average spin/distance when there are such big differences between shots.

And therein lies the problem with Catholic run schools. Violent penguins!

Anyone who joins up with MC knows what they are getting into. Odds are they go into the round full well knowing they are going to have to endure some psych warfare.

I did a lot of research and contrary to what some may believe, it seems that it is all together possible to review clubs without hyping them or buying into the manufacturer's shtick and still be whiny and self-centered. :swoon:

I don't think anyone is arguing that it's not possible.

I mean obviously everyone here at WRX has never been a sarcastic, know it all, whiney bag of ******... and yet, we keep coming back.

Anyone directly arguing it..no... some acting like it... oh yeah.

I'm sure he is a decent enough guy, but personally I've never seen him walk across a water hazard.

Plenty have suggested that it is not possible if your name is Mark Crossfield.

A lot of "suggestions" in this thread. All depends on personal perspective. Obviously some are uber sensitive about MC... some thin skin around here.

Well, I will say, this is the first comparison to Jesus I have seen so far...

Your bias is pretty well established... and now so is your absurdity. No one is comparing him to Jesus and you well know it.

Firstly I did not ask to engage in direct conversation with you and in fact have zero desire to do so. It was your decision to apparently take some personal affront to my comment and feel the need to reply directly. That said, in the future and fyi, I will not respond to any uncivil or confrontational replies you may wish to offer. Alternatively, if you would like to discuss anything in an intelligent manner, I would of course be glad to do so.

As you appear to be, to put it kindly, unfamiliar with of the usage of the phrase let me edify you.

The phrase "Walking on water" is commonly used in literature, music and speech as a well established idiom to refer to someone or something as being able to do the impossible or extraordinary.

I can hardly see how anyone could state that it is used to compare someone or something to Jesus directly without intending to be absurd.

You find it hard to believe that when you reference someone walking on water, they could assume you’re speaking about them in comparison to Jesus?? I know where phrase is commonly used, and I know how it is used. I am sorry you don’t and sorry you’re feeling “attacked” buy someone challenging what you say on a PUBLIC FORUM. Not intending to be confrontational at all either, but if you’re going to want the space to say someone is absurd, you can most likely expect a response..

To be honest my first response was In jest, wasn’t trying to hurt your feelings man, calm down.

Rubbish. You know why the phrase is used, as do we all. Your pompous response doesn't change that.
