He's here to stay. Deal with it haters.

Maybe for the majors lol. Very weird but when was the last time you’ve seen his name up there in a regular tournament? I can’t think of even one. Now of course it’s all about the majors but only seeing him up there 3-4 times a year leaves a little to be desired.

A tiny bit of research would tell you he was injured for 4 months at the beginning of the year, and since his comeback he's actually been 'up there' as often as most of the top players.

Maybe he doesnt bring the same intensity to regular events, but maybe this kick starts him to a playoff push then domination in the Ryder Cup?

I got a picture with Brooks at the 2017 Memorial. He then won the US Open a month later. I attribute all of his success to meeting me. :)

I like golf. A lot.

Well to be honest doesn't bring intensity to any event. He gets a birdie or bogey and either way acts like he just woke up from a nap. I honestly don't think he feels nerves or emotion. Never gets tired. Never sweats. I think he could've played 36 more holes. He's a robot. When he says he's recovering from some injury he's really just getting an oil change, or recharging his arc reactor.

Koepka seems like a late starter. He was off the radar for me until his recent success. This PGA will raise his awareness because of Tiger being in contention. His game seems fit for the majors as his swing holds up well under pressure and his conditioning allows him to hit the ball long distances while being fairly accurate. He has a great demeanor of being able to keep his emotions in check and not melting down under pressure. I can see training of future golf stars focused more on weight training and some heavy lifting because of his success. Not the most charasmatic guy in the world but it’s beyond impressive what he is doing in the majors.

The first 5 pages of this thread will go far in compiling a list of posters here whose writings can be ignored going forward.

I don't know why, but it seriously bums me out that he doesn't even like or enjoy golf. It's 100% just a job for him.

How do you know, did you ask him? No one excels at something like he does unless they enjoy it.

All the people that hate Spieth, hate Tiger, hate Rahm, hate Rory because they display their emotions and personality should looooove this guy.

He's stated it in interviews. He has said if he could do it all over again, he'd choose professional baseball over golf. He's said he doesn't understand how other PGA Tour players can go out and play casual, fun rounds of golf with their friends. He doesn't play golf for fun. He thinks it's boring.

He said that in 2015. I am pretty sure after participating in a Ryder Cup, Presidents Cup, winning 3 majors and soon to be in another Ryder Cup, he finds golf quite fun.

This guy won 2 majors this year and 3/7. And the press is talking about Tiger and not much about BK. The press was fawning over JT and his family last year which was really cool. No love for BK?

It's unfair for Brooks performance to be overshadowed by TW. I like Brooks a lot. Happy he won if it wasn't TW. Guy is obviously very dedicated and could end up having a better career than Spieth, Rory, etc. That would be something.

Or he could walk away, live his dream and do some DHing for an AL club, who knows.....

I see a gap. There definitely is a gap.

Ha! I don't know his baseball background but I'm thinking if he could have gone that route, he would have.

But, very steely performance and he did hear the roars and feel the pressure,

He was just able to deal with it and close.

Class comments about TW:

“When he started making that run,” Koepka said Sunday evening, “it brought me back to when I was a kid and I was watching him and you heard those roars.”

“I think other than me and my team, everybody was rooting for Tiger,” Koepka said. “As they should ... he’s the greatest player to ever play the game.

“As a kid growing up, that’s the whole reason that all of us, or people in my generation, are even playing golf, because of him.”

I never really paid much attention to this kid, up until last weekend.

Kudos to him for wining, even though I would have preferred having TW pull off one for the ages. ;)

There's something about his attitude, though. Can't quite put my finger on it.

Then when he tapped in at 18 I got mad. What a twit (cleaned this up for the forums). I can appreciate his talent, but he will never be one of my favorites. We'll see how long he lasts.
