New Ping Vault 2.0 putters (thanks, tod071)

Just received my Vault 2.0 Voss. It looks amazing and the feel is outstanding. Love the PP60 grip as well. Season can not start soon enough.

I'm curious how the platinum finish will hold up...is it the same finish as the original vault line?

Sometimes they look a little beat up in the stores, but not as bad as the ping milled. That finish was awful

I don't know about the Anser Milled hate, I've had mine over 6 years and haven't lost any coloring on it whatsoever. It's my favorite putter I've ever played with! I'm really looking forward to trying the Anser 2.0 - interested to see if I would like the copper or black better.

Just some quick feedback after trying a bunch of models in-store:

• All finishes look great, but the black looks very good, very premium
  
• Feel was a bit different on the Anser vs. B60. I thought the Anser felt a bit better on all strikes, and the B60 felt really good on center strikes. Off-center strikes with the B60 felt really clanky to me - the head really tells you if you're off center. I think they had the same grip. This could be very good or bad depending on your perspective. Some will like the feedback on off-centered hits, some like softer across the face.
  
• Ketsch looks and performs great. Compared it to the Vault Bergen. They look and perform similarly, but the Ketsch has the flanking shorter alignment lines that some may prefer. On Ping's website, they say the Ketsch is also available in slate finish (surely this is a typo? I thought the the possible finishes were silver, copper, black?)
  
• I'm still deciding whether to jump on the black B60 or the Odyssey O-Works 7s black.

Little update on my Dale 2.0 Stealth.... Earlier questions of durability, I am starting to see a very tiny bit (very) of wear on the leading edge of the putter. Have had it out for 4 or 5 rounds maybe and it could be because of timing. When I got it, all the greens in the area had just been punched and sanded so it has seen some grit. It's not terrible but it is there. Still, I love the putter and have been putting well with it overall. I'm most likely going to take it back and exchange it for a custom Stealth Dale, though... we'll see. Fantastic putter.

 

Only real gripe might be with the head cover. Quality cover, but with the blade style and the long neck design of the cover, while in the bag, the cover has gotten pushed off a couple times as it doesn't quite drop in the bag slot so easily.

 

I will agree with the above, these putters let you know when you hit or miss the center.

The Pingman grip is the icing on top of that awesome putter, 4rheel! That thing looks fantastic!

 

The old school grip definitely adds to the classic putter but it adds so much feel.

Agreed...love the look and feel of this with the Pingman (PP58) grip. After a couple of rounds I'm determined to weather the putting storms with the Anser this year, and stick with it.

It is a beauty in platinum. Rolls great. One of the stars of the lineup and it now has a win on the PGA Tour as well (Andrew Landry).

You may be able to call Ping directly, too. Anyone who sells them should be able to order it how you want, they told you they can't order it? Weird...

Tour Issue Head through the Ping WRX department. They ordered some blank heads in the Dale Anser. Cat is out of the bag.

Use Citristrip. I’ve used it on black finish putters with no harm to the finish.

Looks great... I just installed a black shaft from Putter Lounge in mine and put on a Ping blackout grip. Head is all stock, copper weights and paint fill but I kind like the look. Most importantly, I am putting better than I ever have. I LOVE this putter!!!

The "+" indicate that they are the heavy version of the weights and as a set they will be 15 grams heavier than the standard set of weights. There are also "-" version of the weights indicating 15 grams lighter.
