New Ping Vault 2.0 putters (thanks, tod071)

I usually gravitate toward Anser style heads but after trying the 2.0s out yesterday the ZB was money. I sunk more putts with it than anything else. It was easy to align and felt great. Very curious to see one with a sound slot.

Though much is taken much abides;
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

I'm confused. Ping mentions they have three different weights. Does that mean, regardless of the weight you request, the weights will be the same color?

Exactly. Copper weights will come in the aluminum/steel/tungsten variations, as will the black weights. And according to my rep the stealth will only be available with the copper colored weights. The platinum finish will only come with copper colored weights. and the copper finish will only be available with black colored weights.

That's too bad as I wanted black weights with the platinum finish. Thanks for clearing it up. I'll probably still ask when the time comes. ;)

I know. I wanted the black weights in the stealth head. It definitely can't hurt to ask, never know if they'll change their minds :dntknw:

I find it interesting that the ZB seems to be the most popular head in the line. I wonder if its just due to the simplicity of the design, or perhaps the sight-dot with no line. Or maybe its just something different.

I'm curious how the platinum finish will hold up...is it the same finish as the original vault line?

If it is the same finish, was the Vault 1.0

platinum finish not durable?

Sometimes they look a little beat up in the stores, but not as bad as the ping milled. That finish was awful

Agreed about the PIng Anser Milled finish. I was planning on purchasing a Dale Anser in platinum. I may have to rethink that now. Thanks.

Picked up the ZB, and it’s a stunner! Feel is exceptional, super soft and quiet when hit on the sweet spot, and off center hits have an audible click letting you know when you’re off center. Best looking putter line Ping has made! Home run!! Ordered a Ketsch as well, but it’s back ordered until early March.

I have a Voss in platinum. After 1 season, there is no wear visible at all.

Understand what you mean by the finish on the Milled line, but this seems different.

Faith restored in the platinum finish! Thanks.

Anyone know how the Ketsch 2.0 feels vs the Cadence TR Ketsch? Rolled the Cadence TR Ketsch yesterday and it felt great. Wondering if the 2.0 felt just as good or if I should just buy the Cadence TR version.

I don't have the Ketsch 2.0, but I do have a Ketsch PLD2 camo which has the same face and head weight (365) as the 2.0. I've been comparing it to a Cadence Ketsch putter that I have. They're very similar, but the PLD2 has a little better feel.

By better do you mean softer? Or more responsive? I had a Vault Oslo a while back and it felt like plastic when I hit it. Obviously this putter will feel different than the Oslo as the weight is distributed differently.

Am I right in assuming that the Dale Anser has a toe hang of 45* just like the Vault Anser 2? I ask this as I know that the Taylormade Juno and Soto TP blades have a toe hang of 35* and I’m wondering are PING doing the same or are they sticking to the traditional 45* of toe hang?

I am near certain that it’s 45 degrees. You can contact PING tomorrow just to be sure.
