Taking wayy to long to get my KBS tour shafts in, so I went with DG Tour Issue S400s in them with MCC +4 Gray grips and BB&FCo ferrules. Bag is finally complete with these beauties topping it off. Hit them today at the range and boy oh boy are they pure. So butter!

Here is some pics of the full set-up and the 4i at address. IMG_7783.jpeg.c2275c6ba67cbf082d7ad9105ef044b0.jpegIMG_7787.jpeg.756d9df66fbaee68fd6c380f2558498e.jpegIMG_7790.jpeg.a91d29940ee79ac8db6fef3d7517f51e.jpegIMG_7784.jpeg.b5b7975a823467b4161a6bbe5b8fa622.jpegIMG_7785.jpeg.211f238264b20adc1bca0b604eef1e81.jpeg

My hot take:

I’ve been as low as a 3 (NCAA Div 1 back in the 90’s) and hover near 10 these days, but don’t think I’m a good enough ball striker to hit the NCW machined muscles.  The cavity backs are doable but I need more forgiveness these days.

That said, mine are the most beautiful set of tools I have ever seen.

Anybody happen to order around March and hear anything yet? I knew it would be 3-4 months and I'm totally fine if it's longer than that. I just haven't heard anything and sent a couple emails with no response. Don't want to be that annoying customer

3-4 months?

mine took 3x that.

just forget about them and wait for the shipping notice to hit your email

Ordered in Jan, DW doing the grinding on their ‘stock’ blade heads. Ari responded recently that I should be up next. Hoping for delivery in August / Sep

Has to be cool knowing the same guy that has laid his hands on the clubs for 17 major victories and who knows how many regular tour wins will still make clubs for us 300 yard driving, hit it tight but no one was with me, should have been a 68 crowd like us!

Jan 22, yes. Don is just grinding the stock heads for me, so the level of effort is lower. I’m guessing you went with something different than their in-stock blade mold?  He is just doing sole grinds for me based on a set of 70s MacGreggors I have.

Welp, my experimenting with lie angles has me going down this rabbit hole. It started by breaking out the MP29s and bending them as flat as possible and then realizing how awesome that was and how straight everything was going and then realizing that I would love a 15 degree iron and no one really makes that in a muscleback and also that to get my lie angles the way I'd like would take some crazy kind of custom order that probably wouldn't be executed properly so.... here I am. Sent a few emails to NCW and got immediate and very helfpul and informative responses form Ari. Currently thinking of getting just the 7 iron head to test it out before taking the full dive. Pretty sure on everything except the finish... I'm torn there. I think the brushed chrome is the most beautiful in the bag, and love the high gloss chrome finish of the MP29s but don't want glare and that's probably not the best long term finish. Love the thought of raw as it fits the "tools not jewels" ethos and concept. I also like the white paint fill Ping does on the bottom groove for alignment, and I think ultimately alignment is the most important factor here for finish: what is the easiest to see the face and feel the most confident in alignment at address? That is probably different for everyone, but curious what you all think. Here is what I am currently dreaming up. Everything but the driver and putter (for now... haha). Anyone see anything super dumb or impractical about this?

Awesome.  Simply awesome.  I could almost hear you talking when I read this.

Only recommendation - for what it's worth - is going with 6* increments and saving yourself some coin!  You could go 15-21-27-33-39-45-51-57.  Maybe throw a 60 in there for fun.  If you can hit a 15* iron then you can certainly get creative enough to take a bit off or hood a shot for +/- yardage.

No, your significant other did not tell me to tell you this.

Finally pulled the trigger, I’ve been admiring the craftsmanship and beauty of these over the last year or so. No better time than the present to pull the trigger. Now what the waiting games begin. I didn’t order anything too crazy so I’m hoping for a pretty quick turnaround, but I know you don’t rush perfection. Excited to say the least. Ari was more then helpful! Customer service thus far has been top notch!

I posted previously, but wanted to share what is now the "finished product." It's been a bit of an ordeal getting the shafts right, and I lost my green / white ferrules from BB&F Co. in the process due to a re-shaft (total bummer; really loved those), but am super happy with the end result. The heads are developing a nice patina, and they continue to impress visually.

Outside of looks, I've been very impressed with the clubs. Took me a few rounds to get into the groove (probably more cause of the shafts), but the scoring clubs are absolute perfection. I need to dial my yardages back a bit (~5 yards) and ensure proper contact, but well-struck shots are so pure, launch at a great angle and (generally) fly absolutely straight. The wedges are weapons, both from range and around the green. The spin is next level, and I find myself looking for a lower spin ball as a result.

Incredibly happy overall. I may not play these every round, but it'll probably be close.

Paid around 3k also in 2020. Sold them on the bay for 2600 before fees, so around 2350 net. The buyer advertised them on his IG for 3500 a few days later, which I thought was pretty funny. Selling them was my priority and I figured anything close to 2500 would be good enough.

thanks sound like they are still pretty hype 🔫
