WOW! While mine are in decent shape, I'm going to get them reconditioned to as-new. I think the guy I bought them from thought he could "get better playing blades"...LOL! [EDIT] In what scenario did he sign a sock? :taunt:

I played 18 last week with a guy (a customer of mine) who collects Wilson Staff clubs.

 

He played a pristine set of Staff blades. Hit them pretty well too.

I’ve only seen two other sets of W/S they were both fg100’s and the guys were sticks. I play the V4’s and love it when people snicker about “those” Kmart clubs I have.... I agree with most on here, if they had TM, Cally, or Titleist stamp they’d sell 100 times better. They are a steal on the used market.

Northern MO chiming in, I had yet to see any in the region until playing yesterday and noticed some sharp C100’s.

I work and live on golf courses. Rarely see Wilson staff clubs. I find a lot of their DUO balls though.

The economics, alone, make Wilson Staff worth a look. For approximately $250 (including shipping), I’ve been able to pick up my V4 Utility iron (very underrated, by the way), V4 irons and two PMP wedges brand new, in plastic. The funny thing is that if I would have bought used, I would have paid roughly the same price. They’re making pro-line stuff at great prices. It doesn’t hurt that I remember their brand as a premium one, not garbage.

I see them from time to time and they are actually fantastic golf clubs, the v6 are ball speed monsters in the players iron category. That said, alot of people still get caught up on the fact that they once saw wilson clubs for sale in walmart and think it is a cheap brand.

 

I am considering putting the v6 in play, they work great but my irons work pretty darn well right now too.

I know of two people that currently play the Wilson Staff FG 59 irons. One of the most gorgeous sets of blades. Ever. One player lives in Western PA outside of PIttsburgh and the other in Western MD.

 

Hi GR? Yes, even though I’ve gotten him the Tour Fg F5’s, along with the MP-25’s, these still sit in his bag as it sits from his last competitive round, which ironically was our district regional BB tournament together. I don’t think he’s accepted that these blades may be beyond him when he returns. We’ll see. I do believe that these and the iron that they were patterned after, the 1976-1978 Tour Blades(that’s it, that was their name) are the finest irons that Staff has ever produced. I hope that you’re well. Oh yes, I’m a WS Staffer and those are my Fg Tours below his picture :)

There is a small local brick and mortar store that sells a lot of W/S products.

~ I see mostly F5 / V6 irons CB irons, I'll also see c300 or d200 / d300

 

I rarely ever see the MB line outside of my own bag. I used to play the FG62 MB a couple years ago.

I’ll speak for Richard, Pete & Sam here, hahaha. Best blades Staff ever produced. Sam Played the ‘78 Tour Blade until 1990 ?

I feel I have to rep Staff (bag, irons, hat. May switch to PMP raw wedges next year) for a couple reasons:

 

1) still the winningest irons when it comes to majors. That counts for something.

 

2) you can still get "traditional" lofts without having to go to a super small cavity or blade. (Not a concern for me, but others might not want a small head)

 

3) poor resale value. Sure, the guys on here that can't hold on to anything for more than a day might not like this, but it means you can pick up used, premium clubs in great condition for a great price.

Saw a new set of Honma's at a store....$5,700 for the gold irons. Something one buys when they've ran out of things to buy.
