Shafts all installed, pretty amazing to me that no tip weights were needed to get D3-5 though the set.

These were the easiest graphite shafts I have ever installed and I have tried a lot of them.

Wild eh, did you go 115 all the way through?

No TS 95 S in the 4 & 5 irons for giggles, if the PW and AW feel as good as I hope the 115 TS will be put into my 52 and 58 wedges. I am kind of OCD about the shaft brands matching in irons & wedges, generally a bit heavier and softer but I did tip the AW the same as the PW instead of the extra .50" as stated to see how that works and would do the rest the same or maybe even less tipping for the 58*

Big thank you to @Peoples Golf for going the extra 5 miles and finding and shipping me these shafts in time for the Tournament this weekend. Will built all my Miura irons during the Miura phase and always did spot on work and in the best possible time.

If I can ever find the magic swing again (without a lot of work ha) Will would be the guy building a set of Baby blades for me, if I had a man cave he would have already, so at least they would have a nice place to sit and be looked at.

As was expected it was a learning round, but I did see enough positive results to be glad I made the change. I was babying the nippon 950 and these are much more stout, so a lazy swing will not work. Once I started to swing away with them I saw much better accuracy and no distance lose at all.

That was a huge change for me, you can step on them and as long as you keep the face and path in the ball park, lead deflection isn't sending the ball all over the place.

That is what I saw also, with a solid swing it is going exactly where you are lined up. I fight a pull hook and would normally line up right on par 3's etc. Not so with the 115 fuji, aim where you want it to go and swing like you mean it..ha ha

You can get the Fuji iron shafts at Billy Bob's Golf.  Probably also from The Peoples Clubs.

Not much more than premium steel shafts these days, which are in the $35-$40 range. These are $45.

Playing in a Grint Tournament today with only one round with the shafts, might as well put them to a real test with a bit of pressure.

Haha have fun! Point and shoot.

I find myself aiming to the left of every green and missing there (lefty used to fight pull draw/hook) when I'm not paying attention. Old habits die hard.

Golf is such a fickle game, got the clubs right where I want them. The Fuji shafts feel great but I cannot hit an Amazon warehouse roof from 100 yds with my current swing never mind a green from 150- 170.

Managed to scramble out a 3rd place finish in my flight (9 guys I believe, me being the oldest), but it was ugly and for once my Putter actually helped me.

Have a work trip for the next week so maybe a break from golf and get back after it and actually practice a few hours a week will bring things around.

New update, the swing is coming back and the last two rounds I have seen some really good results with the shafts, they definitely launch lower in the longer irons but seem to have good spin and stop quite well. My stuggles have been all swing related (as always) but my 1st impression that maybe they are too stiff for me tipped to spec was wrong at least in the shorter irons which have been very good with a high launch and drop and stop.

If the next few rounds continue to improve I may soft step the 4,5 & 6 irons to bring the launch up a bit, but put some good swings together this morning and hit to the back of three greens which should have been the middle or front playing my normal distances. So a bit longer than expected, which is nice.

Look like I will be ordering the TCB tomorrow and these shafts will be pulled and kept in reserve in case the MMT 95 or Catalyst 100 don't work out. That is if I can get either one without waiting for months, I have no patience waiting for clubs and with the current situation it will be a crap shoot.

I may just ask what I can get fairly quickly and plan to put the Fuji in in short order.

Finally got over a bad back and was able to hit the 7 iron I put together.

I'm using new heads (2015 OnOff Kuro Forged), so the only thing in common with my VR Pro's was identical head weight.

As several other here mentioned, it seemed to go very straight. Seemed a club longer, and slightly lower flight, but the loft is a little stronger. Nice boring trajectory on a windy day.

Had no issue at all with the lighter weight. Playing it 0.75" long, same as my VR Pro.

I like it a lot.

So today I went to Ebay to order the rest, and found a set of pulls for $135, and jumped on them quickly.

I probably won't be able to assemble them for 3 weeks, but I might have a mint set of VR Pro blades for sale in July if these work out.

I’ve got a 115tx coming to test in my 8 iron.
Am I right in thinking that fujikura don’t do a straight up 115x?

thinking about soft stepping these as the tx is probably a bit much for my 93mph. Have previously played x100s but not a massive fan. Currently have a set of elevate tours in my zx7s and have trouble keeping the ball flight down which is predictable. I’d be happier to play a more spinny ball if I can get the flight into the window that I want. I naturally hit the ball high but I just down want to see it in that window. To much wind here in Scotland.

I'm playing the Tour S soft stepped 1/2 (1/4").

They don't feel any stiffer than S300's I've been playing all my life. So if I had to guess, I don't think the Tour X will be too stiff.

I finally got around to building my OnOff Kuro's with the 95i Tour S shafts. Put them in my wedges as well.

Really liking them. Straight ball flight, and very smooth. Very similar ballflight to my VR Pro's with AMT White S300's.

I'd highly recommend these shafts.

first range session with the 8i with the 115tx soft stepped once and super happy. I play my irons a half inch short so there was a bit of lead powder involved to get to d2 where I like the irons (previous build was d0 despite the build being specified d2)

ball flight is in the window that I want. Club face is stable. Hook miss is more controlled.
launch monitor testing will help decide if I need to go to a ball with a little more spin but we’ll see.

I tipped my 52 the same as my PW, and tipped my 58 the same as my 9i for a little softer feel, as I usually only take 3/4 swings with it

I'm moving from modus 125 stiff to Fuji 115 TS.  Anyone tried both-want to know if the Fuji straight in will be too stiff?

I have a yonex 7 iron in a modus 125 stiff that I like to hit sometimes. (Tiny wee blade) and compared to my soft stepped 115 tx is definitely softer and loads different but for me the fujikura has a better feel. I’d imagine the TS will feel better than the modus

Nice write-ups guys. I have enjoyed reading through them. I've been using Pro 95i in my 3 and 4 irons for a while now. I am about to send them off to add some 115i to them. I like the 95i but (similar to scottaz) I am used to playing a heavier shaft, so I think the 115i will be right in the sweet spot.

I too prefer the feel of a relatively heavier shaft.  I currently play the Nippon Modus Pro 120 which come in at 114 grams.  The Fujikura Pro 95 is actually measuring 97.5 (if I'm not mistaken) so that is not too much of a drastic change.  I have a Fuji pro 95 in my 4 iron now I am testing but so far I like it.

I put the 95 TS S in the 4 iron SSx2 and did not like it (it just felt strange), so it is getting pulled and tipped properly. The 115 TS S test shaft will be in today and that will be put in tipped per the chart for the 8 iron.

I'm following your testing example, in a way.  🙂

I've already got a 115 Tour Spec stiff in a 6 iron, standard tipping.  Just ordered a 95 Tour Spec stiff that I'll be putting in a 4i or 5i.  I'm going to try to have a shaft weight battle royal, see which direction I look to go.

Currently have sets with NV MLTi 105 S, RIP Tour 115 R, and Recoil Proto 125 F4, which are really 118g-121g ascending weight.  I'm guessing the 115 will be preferred, but I gots to know, and actual demo action is the only real way I will.

The 6i with 115 stiff will be going along with me today, maybe both rounds this weekend.

One of these days, I'll figure out why I feel compelled to do this sort of thing in October.  In Minnesota.  Would be better to start earlier, wouldn't you think?   LOL

Well after reading this forum time and time again I finally pulled the trigger.

I went 95S in my irons and have played only one round with them but my oh my!

They are arount 5m longer then my old setup, a tad higher flight but alot more of a peircing flight.

My old shafts were True Temper AMTS300 Black, Other shafts ive had good experiences with are C-Taper Lite 110s, LZ5.5 and soft stepped S400.

These shafts are litterly a mix of all of these, they load so well like the LZ, they feel light and easy to swing like the AMT, they just fly and are straight like the S400 and look mint just like the C-Tapers.

Builing them was easy, all very tight weights, SW well, very clean shaft, had to sand the tips to fit into my Mizunos but just perfect all around.

Very happy I made this change!
