Whilst I am all for blowing excessive amounts of money on PXG goodies, I draw the line at being charged an extra £100 per club for a bit of black paint.

I’ve played 36 holes with the pxg Black with minimal range time and the show little to no wear. I went with a sm7 black 46 instead of the pxg pw, which shows more wear. I used to play the cobra black MB’s before I went back to Miura and the pxg finish seems more durable. Still the black will fade. One thread has a pic of a years worth of play but can’t recall the name of that thread.

They really look sleek. The topline is a little thicker than I expected for a tour/players iron, but I think I can adjust.

I made my first PXG order. The eagle has landed and I must say that you will not be happier just opening the package. It feels special. They package everything so puuurrrrttttyyyyyyy!!!!! It was like Christmas when I was a kid. I think I tinkled a little. Thanks to Dr. Parsons giving back to his brothers it made it reasonable for me to purchase the 0811x driver and Brandon putter. They are fair with their assembly and delivery time. When we were in Arizona and we wanted our sticks the done ASAP they told us that they will do it for $1000. I thought they were joking but the joke was on me.

I'll get one done soon. Just looking down on the 0311T they look larger. But when I did a side-by-side with the iBlade 7 iron they are very close to the same size. The 0311T is ever so slightly larger with a tad thicker top line.

I really wanted to like the PXG 0311T 1st gen when I had the irons.... They look great, I love the PXG design, and love what they do with the Hero Program.. first class in my book. BUT..... I would choose my 716 CB all day over the 0311Ts I had. They are just better in every way, besides maybe a tie coming down to how they look by the ball. Obviously they are not as long, but that's not what I am looking for in my irons. If you have a chance to try the PXGs I say do it, but keep the 716s!!

This thread has me pretty pumped up! On Tuesday, I saw the Gen 1 offer and on Tuesday, ordered a set (5-P) with the same specs I had been fitted for on my 716 AP2s. I loved the AP2s, but needed a little more forgiveness, so I briefly moved to the AP1s, but don't love them. Now I'm just playing the waiting game hoping that my shafts aren't backordered or anything like that. Anyway, have enjoyed reading this thread and thanks to all you first responders for all you do!

lol actually the shafts in 8-LW were off in first order and second order the SF shaft in the 5i had 3 fairly large paint chips. The latter was not a huge issue but very noticeable and should have been caught by QC. I’m without a 5i for over a week. I haven’t even checked lofts/lies yet but from another member who’s were all jacked up I probably should. I suggest to anyone who gets a set to do a thorough inspection and if anyting is wrong don’t be surprised if CS inconveniences you.
