TY Doctorjedi! I've seen the pictures and they remind me of the Cortex, which is not a good thing.

If the faces are injected with speed foam, i'm very interested how these drivers will feel/sound.

Yes. Looks like one on the lower heel and toe. Lots of speculation about what they're for. Speedfoam, something like jailbreak, or just screws to add mass. No one really knows at this point, but it seems to be the main tech for these models.

Yup, screws on the face. Like an old Eye O-Matic, Golf Spy did a piece on it today and wondered about screw breakage? I haven't been able to hit a TM driver since the gold shafted Burner+; so I can be agnostic but the screws look like TMs' jailbreak !!

Why not? Educate me... I've apparently been out of the driver tech specs game for a bit.

 

Spin rates are directly linked to face contact in relation to CG location. Strikes below the CoG produce higher spin numbers, strikes above produce lower. The higher the CG, the more space there is below and the less above which = higher spin on average. This is the "gear effect" people refer to expressed vertically instead of horizontally (heel/toe strikes which cause slice/hook axis tilt). The MOI of the head determines how strong these effects are so you can somewhat mitigate high CG with high MOI.

M5 still has the sliding weights....around the back and center back to front. M6 no sliding weights.

I like them. I didn’t like the M3 graphics at first, but I do now. I like the way they got the weights way back like Callaway in the M5. I never really saw a difference when I moved the weights in the M3 unless they were as far forward as possible. I could get results with the Epic but preferred the M3 more.

M5 and M6 pics look way better bottom side than the M3 and M4. The Y weight track is funny looking. This one is much cleaner. Now for the crown, hoping M440 pear shape If the Flash has a subzero pear shape then it will be in the running too. And then there is Ping’s upcoming release . The year of the driver for sure.

I like the coloring of the M3/M4 better. The M3 looked so clean and symmetrical on the sole.

 

The M5 looks unfinished. Not clean lines..

 

But I will say that the M6 looks better than the M4.

 

BUT if that speed foam makes it feel better and they flat out perform then it’s not gonna matter

The screws are where they inject the Speedfoam...just like on the P790 irons. Thin face with speedfoam support .... Brilliant!

I'll reserve judgement until I have one in hand after walking back my original opinion on the 760 irons. I feel this might be a step too far though. Doesn't do anything for me.
