Srixon 2019

Check your local Dicks Sporting Goods. They have them @ $10/pack and running a $20 off $100 deal. I ended up getting 5 dozen for $84.69, so basically $17 a dozen. Unbeatable deal.

10$ for the 2019 z star performance packs? Online it shows they are 15$ are they marked at 10$ in the store? I picked up some q star tours for 10$ awhile back and i liked those for the colder days.

Yeah 2019 packs, they are 14.99 online, $10 in store.

Dicks here doesnt have them. Although they dont have much of anything as their golf dept is awful.

Be sure to check the golf register, they are not where the rest of the golf balls are. They have their own display.

Can only do 1 of the 6 packs on golfdiscount. Not sure if it’s a inventory issue or 1 per customer deal. Could try doing multiple orders I guess

Ha please do tell.

I would give it another whirl, I ordered 7 of these yesterday via this website and refreshed it and only 1 was in stock after that. I just tried it and was able to add 5 to the cart without issue (non XV, didn't purchase, just tested), I think you were running into inventory issues not a per customer limit issue.

I love the Srixon z-star balls, but I really don’t like this performance pack pricing without enforcing some sort of 1-pack limit. I don’t blame consumers for taking advantage of this amazing deal, but I feel Srixon is devaluing their brand.

Purchased 4 dozen of the XVs and 2 dozen of the new z stars. Playing the z star as its winter time here and loving it. I've always been an XV player and starting to think I should have just gotten 6 of the regular Z stars. Oh well can't go wrong w either I suppose. Paid 40.00 each for the z .buy 3 get 1 free on the XVs w personalization. They're already at a good price imo for the value compared to other premiums .got tired of waiting .

My local Dicks finally got their performance packs and the display provided by Srixon in store said $10 plain as day. When they rang up at $15 I mentioned the display and of course they had to honor the price. So with $20 off $100 for new 2019XV for $16 a dz!

Now back to Dicks , if your going to set your own price that all good it’s your store , but you cannot put them out with a display for $10. But then again , Dicks around Socal are not very golf savvy to begin with.

There is supposed to be a limit, but that is also on the retailer to enforce. Srixon has no real way to do that without shutting down accounts, and Srixon is trying to grow sales (which they are, very big gains over the last few years).

Besides that, it's a very limited time promo and the retailer can't just order performance packs only. It's controlled how many of them can be bought by an account. And as fast as they sell out, they don't have a real lingering effect on price integrity or brand image.

This seems to be a common theme... Retailers marking them at $15 when they are marked as $10 right on the Srixon provided display. Giving benefit of the doubt, it could be chalked up to the fact that aside from a product launch like this, the performance packs offered at all other times of the year are $15 (marked as such by Srixon at least), so it could be a case of the inventory folks at these large accounts just tagging then with the same price that the last performance packs they received were.

Just bought (online, at Dick's) a slew (5+ dozen) of the 2019 XV balls via performance packs. $10/6 = $20/dz, shipping to E. Mass! Looks like I'm covered for the season.

Actually, Golf Galaxy has the better deal. Srixon XV 2019 Performance Packs $10.00 but use code GG5OFF and they are $9.50. Just got mine.

Just got back from Orlando and played 8 rounds. Played almost all of them with Srixon XV. The ball performed well for most part. Seems to have plenty of green side spin and felt okay off putter. Perhaps I should be playing Srixon Z. I didn’t particularly like XV off the driver or irons.

Much prefer TP5 over XV. I got a smokin deal on XV so I will play them until they are gone and switch back to TP5.

Anyone going to review the balls or just give shopping advice?

I've played a couple rounds with the new XV now, basically have to report the same stuff that I did earlier in the thread.

It definitely feels softer, especially off the putter but it is by no means mushy, on the slightly longer putts the click and firmness is definitely back.

Spin around the green is improved I'd say, I was able to hit the low spinner more often than I did with the previous generation XV but I otherwise play for a bit of release on my chips and I had no issues with this ball doing that. The few pitches I have hit were good, you can get aggressive and go for the pin and rely on the one hop stop which is better than the previous generation I'd say.

Spin off the irons is great, it's still the best ball in the wind no questions asked. I feel like there is a tad more stopping power through the long irons to the short, this ball isn't releasing as much and is actually stopping right by it's pitch mark or even coming back a smidge (This is our rainy season though so the greens have been soft of late)

The biggest gain I have seen is off the driver, this ball goes miles for some reason... I think it's from the slightly increased launch, I've definitely gained a few metres with the driver and again I have had no problems with the wind affecting this ball at all, even with the increased launch.

Thanks for the insight! I have a dozen sitting in the garage and will put one in play this Friday. I noticed the same with the older XV, goes forever off the driver, cuts through the wind but spins around the greens. If the new one does all the same but with a little better feel, I don't see how anything else could beat it.
