Colorado WRX 2019

Folks are shockingly honest with this. I did no scouring of the internet because $25 isn't a ton of money, but it would not be hard to list the URLs and passwords to the videos, along with uploading the PDFs.

I'm sure they're out there, but I'm quite pleased people are actually paying the guy.

He priced it right. If it was $50+ I'd be looking for those URLs and password.

Just throwing this out there...

Some guys from my Thursday night beer league are heading to Family Sports on Tuesday (supposed to be mid-50's) for range time and beers in the Avalanche Grill afterwards. Festivities start around 4:45pm.

Walmart at southlands has Srixon Z Star and XV for 17.00 a dozen. Never played them and stocked up on balls. Figured at that price I would let people know in case you play them as it seems like a good price.

Edit: Assume other Walmart's have the same deal.

Holy crap. WM in Littleton has the XV for $5/doz!

I can't find any regular Z-Stars.

If I wasn't meeting a friend for dinner in 30 minutes, I would be driving all over south Denver.

The ones I saw at Southlands was '18 version.

Was at Walmart again today and it was picked over. Looked like only the 15-16 model was left now

Oh man, the weather's looking up ***if tonight's storm doesn't drop too much***. If there's any chance a course is open next Friday, I'll be out.

Sounds like I have to go to Highlands Ranch Thursday, I wouldn’t mind playing somewhere in that area if anything is open.

Spoke too soon. How much snow did the area end up getting? We're under a blizzard warning for later today here in Minneapolis.

We got 10" down at this end of town. Don't think Thursday is an option.

Talked to my other “kid” yesterday who lives in Brighton, he said they got 8-10”. I haven’t been by the courses today here in Greeley, but I would guess they’re mostly clear.

So, our men’s league announced that we would be implementing the local rule where you can drop in the fairway with a 2 stroke penalty if you hit your tee shot OB. There are really only a few holes that this will come into play since most of the par 4’s are red staked on at least one side. I’m sure the purists out there probably think that this rule goes too far but for the 3rd and 4th flight guys it will really help keep things moving.

Just curious what you guys think of this rule?

Kennedy men's club had a similar rule about lost balls that is for certain not OB, except that you had to drop in the area where it is assumed lost. I would love to see more courses/clubs have that as a local role.

I think it's a good rule for those in B, C, D, etc fights. Definitely will speed up play. Championship and A flights should play normal rules for OB.

I like it. Is it a drop lateral to where it came to rest? And can you drop anywhere on that line?

It’s the new fairway rule. You find the nearest point in the fairway equidistant to where it crossed the boundary. The area formed by those two points and the spot where the original ball was hit from makes up your drop area.

Commonground did this a few years back when they hosted the US Am with Cherry Hills because they grew the native areas out so thick throughout the summer for when the tournament came to town. Last year they told us it was going to be pretty much the same thing this year because they are the sister course to Colorado Golf Club for the Mid Am.
