Can a ping account order the bags without the Ping Logos?

How does the newer Hoofer Lite compare to the older 4Series? Have. A chance to pick up a 4 series at a good price and am wondering if it is worth it. Any different in the dividers (length, number, etc)?

I prefer the last 4 Series model vs the Hoofer Lite, so I'd pick up the 4 Series

Dividers appear to be the same. I much prefer the 4 Series straps and looks. Also like that the rain hood is stored in the hip pad on the 4 Series, it stays out of the away and provides padding. Lastly, I prefer the water bottle pocket location on the 4 Series.

Yes. I had the same question and emailed Ping and they said just go to an authorized retailer and order them with the code NP. I messaged my local club and she knew exactly what I was talking about

Just happened to bring my kid to practice and popped into the pro shop...they had this lonely Blacked out-no logos...2018 Ping Hoofer Lite, up on their wall. It needed a home. We have a Hoofer, Hoofer 14, and Hoofer 4 Series in play, right now.

 

I’ve had Ogio, Callaway, SM, and so far Ping is the best overall (except the grip tangle).

There are some really sweet color options in the Hoofer this year. I'm due for a new one, and it's going to be a tough choice.

I really like the white/black, but I'd probably go grey/black as I'm sure the white would get dirty quickly

Ping have listened and put the rain cover back in the hip pad on the 2019 hoofer lite HOORAY and well done PING it was my only gripe.

Just picked one up in black for my winter carry as it’s a bit muddy here in the UK at the mo.

I must agree. I am in line for a new stand bag and saw the Hoofer and the Hoofer 14. I am partial to the Hoofer in Black/Black or Grey. Really cool looking bags. Plus they are light and love the magnetic front pocket for valuables/tees.

Couldn’t agree more. Will for sure be my next bag. I just wish it was a 4 way top but that’s not going to stop me because it’s just that sharp.

Well it looks like we’re going to see a redesigned Hoofer later this year or early next year. The regular Hoofer bags are all off the website now. Please Ping, a heather grey Hoofer with a four way top and less of the graphics on the sides. Thank you.

Anyone have any information on the camo carry bags that were used on tour recently. I thought I read that they were going to be released but have seen nothing on the Ping website.

Sold out on Ping's site but you can find them here and there. I know a couple local shops that have one each if you're interested?

Never been a Ping bag guy because of the club tangle. Now I mostly ride or use push cart. Saw the Hoofer in heather grey in the store and fell in love with the looks. Tested it out by filling it with clubs and it was fine with the mostly full length dividers. TGW had them on sale a few weeks ago and then another 20% off. Happy with the purchase.

I purchased a Hoofer '19 in all black about a week ago and have no issues with clubs tangling as the dividers run the length of the bag in the 5 way but may be broken up into 3 sections. I tested the Hoofer 14 and it was a nightmare with clubs tangling. So far the bag is awesome! Love the magnetic pocket in the front too

 

Edit: the bonus is the rain cover pocket near the back pad of the bag. ingenious and really saves space

I went OG ‘00 Hoofer —> ‘15 4-series —> ‘19 Hoofer.

 

I think the full size ‘19 is the best functioning of the bunch, while the original Hoofer was by far the most durable (canvas > lightweight junk fabric... the weight difference isn’t enough to justify the durability difference). The ‘19 has the least club tangle, best stand mechanism, and the best straps IMO. The magnetic pocket is great for my phone/GPS too. The 4-series was garbage relative to both OG Hoofer and current gen.

 

I have already had an issue with the ‘19 when a pin holding the stand leg in place fell out somewhere. Pro gave me a replacement but the design there seems like it could be tighter/better. I still think it’s a good bag and recommend it.

They are hard to find in any color other than black. Picked up the Fairway green sight unseen and arrived today. Looks sweet and love than it’s not black!

I use a 4 series because it’s all black. I’d love an all navy hoofer, like the good old days!!

I've been eyeing up a new Hoofer as well and now not sure if I should wait. My current bag is having an issue and needs replaced soon, although I think I can wait if a new model is on the way.

I contacted ping asking if there is a reason I can't find the Hoofer on their site or at several of the more notable online retailers in the color I like (navy/grey/white). They said to just look around local retail stores :(

Yeah it sounds like they’re going to be releasing new bags later this year/early next year. They’re letting the current inventory get as low as possible before announcing anything.

Just recently got the Hoofer 14. Once I saw the color I was pretty well hooked. Would’ve preferred the Lite model but it had that horrible silver design nonsense on the sides. Loving the bag so far nonetheless.

My PING Hoofer experiment didnt last very long. Got the bag and all was good, then the shoulder strap snapped from the material attached to the bag. The zippers are not very well put together on this bag and snag as the teeth of the thread for the zipper are all bent. Went back and even tried with a pair of pliers to bend them straight and the zipper still wouldnt budge. Even used the old #2 pencil graphite on the teeth trick to lube it up and it didnt work. PING offered to replace the bag and the straps but I returned the bag and am going to look elsewhere.

 

Edit: also to the zipper point there was no material blocking the way of the teeth of the zipper on the bag. I may be an anomaly with this bag but loved the look and how it situated the clubs just didnt want to run into more problems down the road.
