How is the 3iron if what you're looking at that club as a driving iron. Would you prefer having a lighter shaft in the 3 Iron to squeeze out that extra distance?

Love mine. Ridiculously soft feel. Only thing I’ve ever hit that felt softer was the Srixon z745s.

has anyone ever paired these heads with Steelfiber i95? Or i110?

 

I have them with Steelfiber i95 based on my fitting session. Have only hit them on the range once, but really like the launch of the long irons.

Best irons I have ever owned. The softest cast irons I’ve ever hit. Getting them bent to power spec was the best decision I made with these. Good distance but doesn’t sacrifice the i210 calling card which is precision. I’ve dropped several strokes off my cap since I got my set last summer. As for the finish as long as your not careless with the clubs the finish looks fine. Just do yourself a favor and get fit for the right shaft. I initially had the DG that came with the iron and was fit and ended up with the Project X LZ. great irons

 

Your have JPX 919 HM in your signature. Have you not yet updated your sig with the i210s, or have you already found a new “best irons I have ever owned” a month later? Just curious.

The i210s are a super consistent, forgiving cavity club.

 

Mine are Retro spec in DG120 X100, and the distances are much more consistent than even prior blade sets I've owned. The long irons in particular are phenomenal, if I ever switch clubs I'll have a very hard time not using the 4 and 5 iron from the i210s. My only knock is the finish isn't great when you start getting some wear, but as long as they perform I can get past it.

I was originally fit into the i210s with DG120 S shafts (after a long layoff from playing). I started having some elbow issues and decided to move to graphite shafts. Got fit again (different place), and was fit into the i210s with i95cw, regular flex. I'm still working on my swing but these are great irons. When you hit it well it is like butter - closest you can get to forged feel in a cast club that I know of. The i95 is a good match, and I've adjusted to the weight drop pretty quickly. Some say the i110 is a harsher feel (I think I hit it during the fitting - didn't make the cut) but depends on what you're comparing to. I can say that my elbow seems much happier with the graphite, and in my fitting I gained about 17 yards carry. But I don't think I was having a good day with the original setup. I will say that mis-hits aren't punished as much as they probably should be.

Just hit these today against my AP2. Nice clubs for sure. Made me nostalgic for my not-so-old i200. Better numbers from my AP2 but these are close on feel. Not there but close for sure which is something pretty awesome from Ping.

the i210 feel amazing. I hit them against the Ap2 as well. The i210 hit a bit higher spun a bit more and were a bit longer and actually easier to hit. I just don't know if I can have cast ping clubs in my bag lol.

I played my first round outside with the pings this past Saturday. Everything was great with them. I managed to shoot one of my better scores at a local course. This being in 38 degree weather with wet and muddy conditions on my first day out at home.

 

I was surprised at how well they played considering I really hate them in the simulator. Im not sure if its the bounce but I really struggle indoors vs the mp18s or apex 16's.

I am looking to pull the trigger on a set soon. Most likely 4-PW with either DG120 S300 or Project X 6.0. If anyone has compared these two with the i210 let me know!

Dispersion was pretty similar. I had both sets for a couple rounds and kept going back to the i210's mainly for the feel and consistent distances. The HM Pro I couldnt be as precise with the yardage I wanted.

I dont have the best contact on the face of my irons so I dont know if I would be the best judge of this but I'm just more comfortable with the i210. I like the higher bounce in the irons as a safety net. The HM Pro were great clubs but I would say if you are a decent ball striker (relative term) its a wash in regards to forgiveness. I wanted to love the HM Pro and spent a good amount of range/course time with them they just werent giving me the consistent numbers/ball flight that the i210's were

I like both. Basically the high-bounce and low-bounce irons of choice, though I would lump the 919 Forged in there too and say pick the one you like. The 210 long irons look inviting to hit. I like the HM Pros do too. I do not like either gap wedge. Would put Forged ahead of both for 9-Gap. I would think there is not much difference in forgiveness between the 210 and HM Pro. The Ping G410 would be more forgiving than either. Those long irons look like they’re so easy that you could send them out to swing themselves.

The plain old S300 is a no upcharge shaft and one of the most inventoried shafts anywhere. Have orders a dozen irons sets with them the wait is never long. If you want them just order the I210 with them it's the same price
