Your glove preference

I am a big fan of the MG gloves. BUT...I think the last time I used anything other than one of my FJ Rain Gloves was last October. The new version of the FJ Rain Glove seems to perform well wet or dry. And, they seem to be very durable. Plus, now they come in a color other than black. I pitched a couple of them in the washer a couple of weeks ago and they came out just fine. Will see how it goes as the weather gets hotter.

I have zero loyalty to any glove, they all seem to wear the same and I seem to have like five different gloves in my bag at any given time for no reason at all. I just reach in and wear whatever comes up, lol.

 

That said I have a Bionic in there that I got as gift last year that I actually do love. It fits perfectly and seems to be wearing incredibly well. Is I ever become glove loyal, pretty sure it'll be to those.

 

My experience is the same as yours. Either go with an MG-priced glove (and I've heard it is good quality) or go with Bionic.

 

Alternative to Bionic: Gloves made of Kangaroo leather. At one point, their importation (or export from Oz) may have been illegal? But, they last a really long time, too. But, last time I looked, their price was about the same as Bionic. IIRC, 10-15 years ago, you could find Kangaroo gloves under $10 each.

Costco had the best deal and I'm glad I stocked up because they appear to be gone - it was a 4 pack of Callaway gloves for $25. I bought two of them. I liked them better than the MG Elite because they were a smidge thicker, but not as thick as a Permasoft. If they are truly discontinued, when they are all gone, I'll go back to ponying up for the Titleist Players glove. It's the best all around glove but as everyone else as stated, at $22 a glove, can get expensive over the summer. I've used the Pure Touch and its obviously high quality, but found it too thin for my preference.

Bionic. You will never wear another glove after trying one out. They are also by far the longest lasting glove I have tried.

I gave up on the "more durable" solution and just scouted cheap cabretta leather options. My preference is the MG Elite, currently $6.99 a piece. They used to do 2 for 1, but apparently no more.

 

In any event, they are cheap, good quality, mail-order convenient, and ordering three or four at a time keeps me set for many, many months.

Golden eagle golf gloves on eBay or amazon. I think the 3 pack is $30 or so. Best, most like a quality $20 glove I’ve found !

Another outlier here who prefers the heavier more durable synthetic gloves. Mizuno tec flex has been my glove of choice for as long as I can remember.
