I'm looking at the quality of the golf shots so far and I'm thinking that in general the guys now are so much better than the ones 20 years ago...

 

I'm seeing more really quality shots now from more players vs before and I believe Tiger has a lot to do with that happening..

 

I was reading the book "Raising the Bar" by Tim Rosaforte on the plane on my way to New York in 2002 and it was like a 16 hour straight flight and I liked it so much I bought another copy just in case and the book pretty much explains what was happening then and the results are sure showing themselves now.

PS: and unless he improves his over-all play soon he will be outplayed by these same guys this week..

I feel like most of the members on here can come up with better commentary than these clowns. It’s not going to change though, unfortunately

Tiger is playing way too conservative. This isn't your typical US Open where par is a great score, winner is gonna be well into double digit under par. 5 wood, 7 iron, pitching wedge and a 2 putt par shouldn't be the game plan in these benign conditions, especially when you're 6 back of your playing partner.

Ironically enough the actual big boys don’t get the shine. Vijay, Ernie, Faldo are just pure units.

 

They always seem to hype 5’9 165 guys as tanks now lol
