I'd have to agree. Spieth needs to just let go and play. Stop trying to over-analyze everything. That has got to be difficult on a playing partner watching that junk on.

For sure Spieth sounded petulant to the casual observer.

 

But I think Spieth blaming Greller for everything under the sun might actually be a mature way of handling disappointment on the course. As long as they're both on board, Spieth venting at his caddy (with an understanding between them that nothing is meant personally nor is blame actually being attributed) seems to me like good teamwork and a far better way of coping than a real personal disagreement hissy fit.

 

Its kind of like dealing with a narcissistic father-in-law. From the outside it can seem harsh when you ignore him, but it's really only self-preservation, and is not meant as a personal insult.

 

On second thought, it's nothing like that. My father-in-law is just a jackass.
