absolutely agree. The best US Open set-up in a long time, and I think that's reflected in the leaderboard. Most of the scorecards have more circles and squares (and occasional double circles and double squares) than pars, it seems. So the good shots are there, but disaster looms for the bad shots. Ask Poulter about that. A quad and an eagle on the same nine.

The only two I will miss not seeing on the weekend are Fineau and JT. Yeah I was going through the whole leaderboard and thinking this has turned out good with so many big names making it. We even get Furyk hanging around. Great course and great field and just about anyone left can win. The only negative is Patrick, my parents are losers, Reed is still here.

I must just enjoy carnage and pain, but the course is just playing way too easy even though I keep hoping for it to change. The USGA dialed it back yesterday so I am interested to see the correction for the weekend since the only things they can truly mess with are the greens at this point given the weather and moisture present on the course.

As far as course setup I think they did a solid job. The course looks great and the greens have not been a distraction. Watched play at the 3rd and 4th holes mostly yesterday and was surprised at the lack of birdies on those 2 holes. The 3rd was actually giving the golfers fits with both the drives and the hole location. The love for Phil is close to Tiger like down there. Today I’m looking for the cream to rise to set up an exciting Sunday.

Not really..Rose hit a awful 2nd shot, should have never have kept his 3rd shot on the green on hole 11. Imo you hit that bad of a shot in a US open..it’s should be a automatic bogey or a miracle chip in for par.

 

Great course is keeping the scores lowish but set up a little too pga tourish for a US open for me.

Headed out the door to play in a Marine's fund raiser tourny. A scramble no less but it's all about the cause.

Hopefully PB will have some bad weather until I get back around 1P so I can see most of it.
