It might go down in history as one of the best FW’s to ever be made. M5 is unreal in every way. The only thing they don’t have is the ability the Ping LST has to flatten the lie independent of the loft but the M5 is perfect. So they will dump the M line for a speed and V line?

This year I did a true fitting and that's what worked best for me. The m5 fairway is a great club, but m6 was better for me in almost every stat.

You’re right, I just wanted to go out for a quick nine this morning and I’m telling you that M5 I have the synergy blue 60 stiff in that thing, to me easiest driver, even next to my G series pings. it would be cool now if they came out with one that was a flat white, I’d like to see a white head again.

Everything you have said on here that I have read in the past about upcoming releases have come true so I know that you are legitimate when it comes to this stuff but the only question I have are you are you excited about Taylormade’s next driver and woods or not?

> Also curious what angle. You've had twist face now this injection. Not sure what other gimmick TM has left

While twist face imo was a gimmick the actual performance of both M3/M4 and M5/M6 drivers have on par with every other OEM in the industry. Do i think the injection crap does anything... not enough for me to notice. But I hit my M6 straighter and just as far as when I owned a Callaway Epic Flash SZ.

All companies provide some level of gimmick. I just don't focus on it and hit each club to see what looks good and what performs. Sometimes getting past the gimmick mentally helps

Talked with my rep yesterday apparently they are leaving the "M" series and the new drivers will be called SIM (Speed in Motion). Not sure how I feel about that name. He didn't have a ton of details but the reps will have them in 2-3 weeks.

With a name like that it's confirmed... The new line WILL include a gyroscope inside the head to automatically square the club face an impact. Twist face is out cause its now scientifically impossible to miss the center of the face with the gyroscope and ventus combo... You heard it here first!

I guessing 6 and 7 in S and X. I doubt they will offer the 8 since they currently offer the Pro 2.0 TS in 8

The thing to remember with drivers is they need to be on the conforming club list to be legal to use in tournament play. People watch the weekly updates to that list to see if anything new is added, so we'd have known earlier this week if there was a new model.

That said, there was no way TaylorMade would leak a driver during like they did with the Truss putter (e.g., during a warm-up or during a practice round). Drivers are flagship product for TaylorMade; putters are not. Flagship products get big reveals.

I think we are probably still a couple months away before we see some new 2020 stuff on tour. I’d like to see the new gear as well.
