Any new TM drivers in the works?

Lots of scratch golfers love the M6, but this is coming from a 8 hdcp, you can adjust that M5 so much more it’s crazy how I was able to dial it in. Set it up on range, played 9 yesterday, 18 today, hit every fairway, and good distance to match. I’m very pleased for now.

Damn man. I just can’t get my m5 dialed in. Maybe cause it’s an m5 tour even though I swear I asked the rep for a regular m5 at demo day in June. I’m gunna do a little shaft change to see if that works.

It’ll definitely have to be more Ballzier, Speedier, and produce AT LEAST 17 more yards, plus amazing to beat the Tour M5 or M6, both of which I really liked, still bagging the m6. Can’t wait till spring!! > @"TaylorMade Golf" said:

Patience is not one of my strengths! If the product release plan is the same as with the M5/M6, we should see the new drivers added to the USGA list the Monday (Dec 30, 2019) of the Tournament of Champions at Kapalua (Jan 2-5, 2020). Worst case, since the clubs should be on the list the following week for the first full field event, the Sony Open.

Ping G430 Max 10K 10.5° driver - Diamana GT 60S

Ping G430 Max 15° #3 fairway - Diamana TB 70S

Ping G430 Max 21° #7 fairway - Diamana TB 80S

Ping G430 Max 26° #5 hybrid - MMTh 90S

Mizuno Pro 243 4-PW irons - MMT 105S

Mizuno T24 Raw 48°-10S wedge - MMT 105S

Mizuno T24 Raw 54°-10S and 60°-06X wedges - MMT Scoring Wedge 105S

Mizuno OMOI Type 3

Titleist Pro V1x

Don't count on it. The Floridian will likely be the spot where DJ, Tiger, Rahm, and Day do some photo stuff. Doubt Rory will be there since I think he's in Dubai.

Honestly I never knew there was a tour version but I’m guessing maybe no offset or less offset if that is part of it but I even got a Claymore regular flex shaft today and the guys and Continental Golf help me dial it in they said it should be pretty good for the winter time since it’s a little bit more flexible

I have heard that the new TM offering is going to be a bit of a departure from what they have been doing since the M series started. That this will be their big tech leap year. We will see, but I hear good things.

I have not heard any names or seen the driver in person. I just spoke with a TM rep and heard very good things, and heard that it a bit of a departure from what they have been doing. Whatever that means.

Right, SIM, which stands for speed in motion lol. I’m just trying to figure out what that would mean, knowing TM and their marketing I’m sure it’s a pretty straight forward tech story

My perception of Fuji is that they are a low cost OEM stock shaft manufacturer for secondary product lines (think M6). If they want to penetrate the high end market they need to get more high end products in the hands of high level golfers to start building their brand. I think they tried to do this with ATMOS but there wasn't enough tour adoption of the ATMOS line to attract buyers... Now that Ventus is in the hands of a couple familiar faces on tour it's time to strike.

You danced around my statement, Mitsu hasn't produced anything ground breaking in over 2 years.

Fubuki Line is DEAD, Kuro Kage line is Apparently DEAD, the Tensei AV is a major FLOP!!!

IDK about the Majors from Brooks & Tiger using a 4 year old shaft that isn't innovation!!!

I'm talking innovation....The PO was all hype and it went into & then out of almost every bag on tour.

To me it seems that there are a lot of Ventus and project X hazrdus shafts in bags these days. Rory did just win with an order Kuro Kage shaft as well.

But the shaft Rory won with is the same he's been gaming for years. He's saying that none of their new stuff is anything earth shattering or ground breaking, which I kind of agree with. Tensei's are nice, PO was in just about everyones bag at one point but anyone can game ball speed when you heavily counterbalance a shaft and allow 5+ grams of head weight to be added.

Then again most of the good players don't like changing shafts. DJ's been in a Rombax type shaft forever, Rory similar with Kuro Kage, most of these really good drivers are good because they don't switch much.

I understand that, but there are lots of people that are changing. Just because a shaft is a few years old does not mean that it is bad. Conversly, just because it is new does not mean it is all marketing gimmicks and hype either.

So that's the new line name then? SIM7 and SIM8?

A total guess but I reckon aesthetically it will be like the Titleist TS drivers and offensively red in terms of colour scheme.

I figured that but never hurts to ask ? Looking forward to seeing what TM has in store for us in 2020!

I'm not exactly sure how the AV line is a flop? They have not even released 3 of the 4 shafts that will likely be in it. Also there are Tensei shafts all over the tour, as well as the BF/DF/ZF making it in to tons of bags as well. The Pro Orange also stuck in tons of bags, just because Rory and Tiger gave it up doesn't mean it's a failure, it was probably one of their best sellers.

Agree with all the others here on the Mitsubishi line of shafts. They are top notch in materials, quality, performance and price. Kuro Kage is still used my Rory and JDay, Tensei AV has been used in shafts of tourney winners in the 2018/2019 season. Rory used the Tensei Pro White and so did Tiger in addition to the Pro Orange. Just becasue MCA didnt come out with new shafts in the last season that doesnt make them non-groundbreaking. All shaft manufacturers make great products whether its a "good shaft" or bad shaft is an interpretation of the user

Exactly! Take the original Dynamic Gold as an example of a tried, tested and true example. It’s still top dog by a large margin despite other newer shafts entering the market.
