Why are you dead-set against Vokey? I mean, to each their own, but why rule out an entire OEM? I don't get along too well with ANY wedges, so never could justify spending the $ for Vokey before, but just picked up a set of 50/54/58 SM7s for dirt cheap, and they are actually quite nice in the limited time I have with them.

Hate to put words in the OP’s mouth but if he asked what wedges everyone liked half this thread would be about Vokeys. Maybe OP wants something different?

All true except your wish doesn't take into account who drives the process. Retail stores have to have strong credit positions with OEM vendors before orders get abruptly filled. I have seen it where the store owner had issues paying certain OEM vendors so those vendors didn't replace stock until paid. Hence stock gets low. When a limited item such as low bounce wedges sell out, the owner may not reorder if it took a long time to sell the first order. He may have to wait on restocking unique items till cash-flow improves.

Anyhow, I understand your desire. Just saying customer expectations have little to do with store inventory, it's OEM & store mgr merchandising and the store owners credit worthiness that define stock, that includes huge chain stores as they are treated much the same as the small golf store.

I have just ordered a Callaway MD5 in 52.10 and PM Grind in 58.12 and 64.10 to replace older versions of the same clubs. Love the high toe wedges.

 

I did wait until the SM8's were released and I've tried them repeatedly but just don't like them. Couldn't tell you why.

Switched to Ping Glide 3.0 in 50° and the Eye2 in 54°. Loving the change. Vokeys are great, but the Pings seem to be a better fit for me.

Was playing RTX4 in all wedges. Still have one in my 58 but Vokey took over the other positions in my bag.

I picked up a Callaway '19 PM Grind, 60/12 from CPO late last year. What a great wedge. Pushed the Mizuno T7 out of the bag, and that thing is sweet.

Mack Daddy Forged with S400s - using a 50, 54 and 60 and really love them - especially the 54 and 60. The 54 is maybe the best wedge I've ever carried - use it for just about everything inside about 105 yards with the exception of flop shots and bunker shots. Great feel and accuracy especially on half-wedges (that shot used to be my achilles heel) and low spinners. Can't even guess how many strokes that 54 has saved me since I put it in the bag about 2 years ago.

 

Thinking about replacing the 50 (considering the TM MG2 and the Jaws) - for some reason I'm not as comfortable with it as I am the others. But the 54 and 60 aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

I have both vokeys and mizuno wedges. Right now the s18s are working for me, 52° and 58°. I do still carry a vokey sm5 62° T grind. Probably look to the T20s once the s18s start to wear.

I’ve been gaming rtx 2 54 and 60 for about 3 years and they work great ??‍♂️ - I don’t think wedges are as complicated as most think...bounce does make a difference based on your typical course conditions but I think wedges more than any other club are an Indian over the arrow situation, so to speak

I recently picked up a set of Piretti wedges 52, 56 and 60. Beautiful clubs and fit my eye perfectly. I will post pictures and information once I get them out on the course.

I played Vokey for years, they are great wedges. I tried out the TM Hi-Toes when they came out and I've never hit wedges better than I've hit these (GW, SW & LW). I'm not sure what it is, but I am SO much more consistent with them, I really just love them. I'm considering buying a back-up SW as I use that one a ton.

I think those of you that like a full faced lob wedge should give the Cleveland CBX2 Full Face wedge a shot. I love the more silver/gunmetal finish on it compared to the TM Hi-Toe and has a bigger cavity for more forgiveness while still letting you manipulate the face to hit all sorts of shots. Very underrated IMO and didnt get a lot of hype on the threads here

I have some Ping Glide 2.0 Raw wedges that I like but I need more playing time with them.
