Wanting to  know how the P7MC and P770 compare to T100. Feel like T100 might fit right in between these. JPX 919 Tour were my favorite looking irons until these came out. Might be too good to look at without buying.

Great podcast by @knudson81 on the P7MB and P7MC last week.  Really covered them well.

The 770's should be coming to him soon.

I had my pro shop order a set of P770's with SteelFiber shafts the day of release.  My pro's expectations are they will ship 9/4/20.  I don't know if they can kick the J15 CB's with Recoils out of the bag, but I wanted to give them a shot.  I really enjoyed the original P770's.  I had the P790's in the 5 iron and 4 iron spot and liked everything about them but their size.  I am a bit of a flipper with pretty high spin in my short irons.  I am hoping the new P770 with SteelFiber combination works out well.

My club championship is in the first half of September, so I don't know they will get many reps until after that.  But, I have done stupid things like changing irons the week of a tournament before LOL.  Playing well with the Bridgestone's now....but if they go in a slump ???

Ordered my combo set this week. 3,4 in the MC and 5-PW in the MB with a UDI 2 iron and MG2 52 to throw in the mix.  These irons looks amazing and finally a LEFTY blade from TM!

2005 rac TP is the best looking of them all

It still holds up 15 years later, which is pretty incredible. Such a great iron from both a performance and design standpoint.

But I'm very excited for the P7MC. From everything I've seen and read so far, I think this is the iron that is the true successor to the 2005. I only ordered a 5 and 6 iron in my combo set, but I can't wait to hit them.

Just bought the 770s.  Tried them out at ClubChampion.   Using Callaway x forged with project x 6.0 shaft currently.  Bought 770 with kbs tour s.   6 iron went from 190yds using old set to avg 206 yards in new 770 set.  SS 94mph with 6 iron.  No difference in spin or launch (5500 and 14.5 respectively).  Distance dispersion was tight for me at plus minus 3/5 yards.  The irons and shaft had heat and consistency for me.  Given that the irons aren’t really strengthened much (29 degree 6 iron) was surprised at its pop off the bat.  Actually blown away

Did you also try them with px 6.0’s? I have played px in the past and was leaning towards ordering with them but liked what I saw with the kbs tours , unfortunately the fitting cart didn’t have project x 6.0 to try with the p770’s

I did.  I came in partial to proj x 6.0.  Used in vast majority of my iron sets in the past.   That said, I’d attribute 5yds of distance and some tightening of the dispersion purely to the shaft change to kbs (before testing heads, we tested a bunch of shafts using my existing head to do a stepwise process in the fitting).  Shafts are very personal to the swing type though so hard to translate experience broadly to a larger group.

Got the MC on a launch monitor today. They are super solid. Feel great have a great shape.

The flight, spin and control were great! Sorry for the glare on the second picture.

Thanks, I’m hoping to test with the px 6.0 when I am ready to order but was surprised I liked the kbs. Are they not a totally different profile? Either way my experience hitting them with the kbs was a surprise

yep, you could feel it flex differently for sure. Was a little lighter, so ended up gaining an mph on swing speed.   Not a big dg fan based on feel, but the kbs felt controllable while still getting a good kick out of it.

Gotta say the say pics of the MC and 770 are what brought me back here lol. Beautiful irons. Figuring out to actually hit a ball again is another story altogether.

Rough week. Haven’t been able to hit them other than a few times inside. Feel great but time will tell. Added some custom Bb&F co ferrules and tweaked the swing weights. 3 and 4 came out way too heavy. TM is taking back for repair so I should see those in a couple weeks.
