I'm struggling to recall a better looking line up of TM irons. I'm no fanboy by any means but they've knocked it out the park with these.

The lineup is really good IMO. The 770's are with I will play for a while. I might mix in a few MC at the bottom end of the bag for pure enjoyment. The TW wedge looks great. Carbon forged and a nice satin.

 

By the way I played the 770's and only lost 3 to 5 yards over the 790's. I gained launch and spin however. That is what I wanted more of.

These are all fantastic but the MC and 770 are really exciting for me. Love a combo set and the 770 may be the best looking iron period that has come out in a long time, from the pics anyway. Can't wait to see these in person.

This line looks great. Will have to demo them though. Wondering how much yardage and forgiveness I would experience from my 2017 P790's? Someone posted here that they lost 3-5 yards. Wondering if that was the 2017 or 2019 P790's. Looks like TM is trying to solve the peak height issue that some have with the P790's.

What makes the p7mc better than the 2005 tp cb’s? They look almost identical. Which to me is a good thing, but I bet they play very similarly.

Less offset, and grooves that are legal for elite amateur events today and will be legal when the groove rule becomes a permanent equipment rule in 2024.

I never thought I would be saying this, but as good as the SIM driver and fairways have been for me, I can honestly see myself with a full Taylormade bag before the end of the year. The P770 looks outstanding. Looking into either a full set of P770s or a combo with the P7MC or maybe P7MB short irons.

Early reviews are looking promising for the entire lineup. Gonna get on the phone with my local shop to see when the demos will be arriving.

I never found any offset specs for the 2005 tp cb’s. The p7mc’s look that way in the comparison picture but pictures can be deceiving. You have a point on grooves but not sure how much that would change how the 2 clubs play.

You can see the offset difference in the comparison photo in this thread. Also, I still have my 2005s and when I compare them to my 750s, it's easy to see that there's more offset in the 2005s. So it would definitely hold true with the P7MC.

I wasn't trying to make a point that the grooves will make them play differently, only that it's a valid thing to consider for someone still playing the 2005s and was wondering why they would upgrade. I played those things for 8 years and may have continued playing them without the rule change.

I played the 2005’s for just about 15 years. Had 3 sets. Recently sold them all and got the p750’s. About to sell them bc I recently took the plunge to the P7TW’s. Prob not good enough for them but I don’t care. Haha

I am no longer the target player for these models, unfortunately, but by looks ONLY I really prefer a competitor model over each of these, again by looks from above only. They may be the best performing irons ever idk

They were so good! Still one of my favorite irons of all time.

I'm giving serious thought to getting the P7MB, even though I have the P7TW. The slight tweaks to the MB from the 730 fix a couple of the nitpicks I had with the 730.

TaylorMade is upping their iron game. Beautiful looking irons. P770's would be more my speed, but P790's previously and 0211's currently have me in a good place with my irons right now.

One thing that I like about the P790's is that they don't ding. Anyone know if that is the case with the P770? I am assuming it is NOT the case with the other 2, but wondering about the P770 specifically.
