Nike Footwear 2021 (Unofficial Thread) (***NO BUY SELL TRADE POSTS***)

Are the AM90s infrared going to be a regular colorway this year or was it just the one time release? Apologies for probably a stupid question but I've been in the middle of a huge home reno so I wasn't paying attention.

Looks like a regular colorway, they haven’t sold out

Thanks - They came and went in a day on the Canadian site so I wasn't sure. Hopefully they're back up before the season gets going.

Is the red “infrared”?  It looks like a lighter red. Can anyone attest who has it in hand?

I haven't seen them in hand, but being a sneakerhead, pictures can be deceiving.  The Infrared CW is a nod to the original AM90 Infratred... aka Air Max III Radiant Red. The color looks the same on the AMIII sneaker in pictures, but in real life, AMIII are a neon red that leans towards orange.  I'd be interested to know if they match up with the AMIII or if it's closer to the Jordan sneakers that uses Infrared like the Jordan 6.  That's a neon red that leans towards pink.

It would be nice, but I'm not sure they re-release in Canada. Just because a sneaker doesn't sell out in the US, it doesn't mean they were limited or GR.  Maybe people got their fix of the Infrareds with the massive release of the AMII Radiant Red in the US... except Canadians.  AMIIIs sold out way too quick in Canada.

Rant alert:

This is my biggest gripe with Nike Canada.  Nike Canada gets such small quantities for every release whether they are GR or not.  It's bad for most shoes, but especially bad for golf shoes.  On top of that, all their limited golf shoe releases like the "Wing It", "Better Lucky than Good", "Peace, Love, And Golf", and Jordan retro sneakers don't even stock any sizes above 10.  Super annoying that someone like me that wears 12/13.

Are you sure that's right about not stocking above a 10? I've got several limited releases off the Canadian website and they were all size 12.  They even had the Roshe Tours from the 2019 Open on there in all sizes.  I've also checked the Jordans on there and they seem to have full size runs when they first release.

I love those, but the only thing I can't stand is the mesh in the Nike 90s, I can't keep those clean, ever, golf or regular ones.

The new 90s release has a coating on it to prevent staining.

as someone who dropped a saucy Buffalo wing on a pair of infrared sneakers while my patriots were getting smoked in the super bowl by the falcons, I understand the frustration of how easy the toe area is to stain. Glad these shoes have the coating.

I'm referring more to 2020 releases I mentioned and Jordans only the retro ones which were basically all Jordan 5s: Wing It, Grapes, black and grey pairs.

Ha, yeah, it's not even a coating. It's just plastic. No worries about dropping saucy wings on these things!

Great!  Too bad I already both the AM 97 and AJ 5's in the tie dye otherwise I'd be all over these.

Definitely prefer the 1/2 size up in the AM90s. TTS fit but it wasn't as comfortable, especially considering the shoe is a little stiff.

LOL.  Yeah, when Ping first offered them, it happened to be at the time that a very good friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer.  So, I bought it and gamed it for a couple of years.  She lost her battle, so needless to say, I will never get rid of the driver.

My infrared 90s arrived today and I agree that they are a little stiff to start. But, look nice and fit pretty TTS for me. Curious--has anyone played a round in the golf AM90s in relatively warm weather yet?

I really like my 270G but they are sweatboxes. Was hoping the AM90s would breathe a little better but now not quite as optimistic...

Well, when you waterproof a shoe like they did with the 270s, that's what happens.  My street 270s breathe just fine!

Agreed, but it doesn't necessarily need to be that way. TW15 were waterproof and highly breathable. 100s of miles on those in the summer with no complaints...

I got my AM90s and I will disagree with most. I think the bottom is comparable to the MG4.1 that I have. They look good to me. I think you need to go up a half size but I walked in them already and they were comfortable with no break in.

If there not enough grip for you, l would just add some of those golfkicks spikes. Throw 5-6 of those on the bottom and you’d have all the extra traction you need

Played with a guy with the Infrared AM90s, they looked good in person, he said the traction was great on them.

Not my type of shoe but he said they were nice and stable so must be better than the ZITs I was wearing today!
