As an aside, after the round the shoes were muddy. I threw them in the washing machine like I normally do... They came out discolored. 😞 I'll get a pic later today.

Washing machine?  Not a good idea for any shoe

Not gonna lie, I’ve thrown shoes I’ve had for awhile in the washing machine and they come out looking super clean. It’s not recommended so I don’t do it on shoes that are newer. Believe shoe guys recommend wiping down over washing machine

Man, I’ve thrown many shows in washer.... as long as it’s not a special or limited shoe they will be fine. If worried take laces out.

Agree. I wash golf shoes all the time. Many of the top shoe cleaning kit companies sell a washing machine kit. It’s a matter of knowing what settings to put it on and using a mesh bag. My shoes always come out looking fresh.

I'll be sticking with Roshe & React 2's this year it looks like. My ZITs make weird squeaky noises while walking and I've worn out my Tour Prems and I don't feel like paying $120+ for a 2 year old shoe.

Pretty sure the Roshe were insanely popular and well received... Why not just make a small tweak to that shoe and come out with a new version??? I'd buy every color.

Yeah discontinuing the Roshes was a terrible play IMO. Great looking, performing, and affordable. They have been my go to shoe the last couple years, now I’m looking at GFour MG4 and FJ Strattos once my extra Roshes are worn out.

They had a good run but time to move on. Two years, plenty of limited releases, a mystery of what colors swoosh you might get... I mean the roshe is so basic you can’t really build on it anymore 🤷🏻‍♂️ I love Roshes but you’re better off stopping production of a shoe a little early than too late.

I have thrown shoes in the washing machine for years. Golf shoes and running shoes and they come out perfectly. Obviously you choose which based on materials but most of the new synthetic ones are fine. Don't use hot and not too much detergent. Washed both pair of my ZITs multiple times and had no issues.

Supposedly it's not good at all for the foam cushioning.  Especially for running shoes, I've read several articles that indicate you'll get a lot less mileage before the foam breaks down.

Ha. Its not as weird as everyone is making it sound. I've thrown many pairs of shoes in the washer. Like others have said, it depends on the material, but the am90s are solid plastic except the tongue. Figured it would be fine. Did what I always do, pull the laces, cold wash with a load of old white towels in a mesh bag. I dont do it often, but I have had plenty of luck with synthetics and golf shoes. If its not bad, I just hand wash and use my shoe soap and brushes. The tongues got muddy and looked gross, so I went with the washer.

This is super interesting as I didn't realize it was a controversy! Put me in the group that uses the washing machine.

Obviously not throwing a pair of DryJoys or something of similar material in there, but any cloth or cloth-like material shoe like normal Nike tennis shoes and most of the Nike golf shoes have always been good for the washer. I don't do it every round or anything, but, for instance, I had a pair of Under Armour HOVR woven shoes (all white) that were kind of my every day and walking shoe last summer, I probably threw them in the washing machine 3 times in the 10 months I've owned them and they're perfectly fine.

I have some Nike's from the Air Max family 4-5 years ago that have been washed a few times too with no damage.

Honestly, I don't know of a better way with so little effort to make a shoe look nearly brand new.

They way some people’s (mine included) buying habits are, I don’t think the foam breaking down is of particular concern.

Washing machine is fine.  I've never put golf shoes in the wash just bc of the mud and dirt etc.  but to each their own.  Cold water on a delicate setting does no damage.
The damage happens from the heat if you put them in the dryer.  Air dry and you're fine.
How is getting soaked in the wash any different then playing in the rain and getting soaked?🤔😂

Put me down as one who uses the washing machine. I always have.  Hell the washing machine we bought comes with a shoe bag for the wet cycle.

anyway, usually turns out great.

So I have to admit that i was wrong. The Masters theme this year is the Space Hippie style shoes and when I saw this print and the alien polo with peace signs I was under the assumption that these and the polo were for Masters week. These however, are for the Waste Management. This other pic is what i was referring to for the masters...which is why i got it all wrong. My bad guys.

Also, all the clothing for it is up on Nike right now.
