Thats a good idea, I was going to put a wrap of Gorilla tape under them on my next install, hopefully that helps pop it out al ittle bit.

If you want more cord give them a good scrub with Comet and a green 3M pad.  It'll expose more cord and will make them tackier.  Another trick is to not use a dryer sheet when you dry your golf towels or towels you wipe your grips down with.  All dryer sheets do is add wax to your towels and that transfers to grips.

Yes, Lamkin is going to extend the Upgrade program into 2021. I would guess you will begin to see some ads pertaining to that starting beginning of March, as that is when the 2021 products will be arriving with distributors. You won’t be disappointed with the ST+2.   It is a exceptional performer!  Lamkin keeps impressing year after year!

Have you seen anything or have any more info/insight?

I'm anxious to get some grip updates going and hopefully the 2021 product is getting to retailers soon as well... want some of those new ST+2 360s!

I am not a fan of any of the current offerings. They need to bring back the players cord with no alignment. I have one set left waiting to be slapped on my new set of shafts.

I have been playing the Sonar Tours this season.  They are excellent grips.  Extremely tacky and maintain that tacky fresh feel as long as you clean them from time to time.  They also look cool in grey and match my Steelfiber shafts.  I can't comment on durability yet, but so far I really like them.

I am loving Lamkin Sonars.   I’m not a fan of the look but man, I’m loving their feel and tak.

I believe they are experiencing the same issues as many companies, and other grip companies as well, that there new products are sitting on ships in ports in the U.S. waiting to be cleared through customs. More COVID related problems. Not there fault, but super frustrating for us all !

For those hoping for an REL ACE'like return to the Lamkin lineup, the closest I've seen and played is the newer Crossline 360 (the grey one). Their specs online say they are on the LESS end of their tackiness scale, but from the 3 rounds I've had them in play so far they are plenty of tacky for me. More so than the GP Tour Velvet Aligns they replaced.

I prefer a softer, less abrasive grip with lots of tackiness and so far this is what I'll be ordering for as long as they carry them.

Any comparisons on the ST+2 hybrid compared to the MCC+4? I play gloveless so need something that works when hands get slick, also curious which has better durability long term.

I moved from the Crossline 360 to the ST+2 specifically due to sweaty hands in the summer here and so far they've been great. I love the +2 and dislike the +4 so thats personal preference there.

Can't compare durability as I've just been testing the ST+2 on a couple of clubs for the last month but I really like it coming from the MCC+4.

I'd say it is just a less extreme version of the MCC+4. Not as thick on the bottom hand (but still a reduced taper compared to a traditional Tour Velvet grip), the "cord" increased traction in the top hand isn't as "harsh" as the top hand of the MCC+4, and so forth.

10 rounds with the Sonar Tours this season.  They are my new favorite grip.  I clean them every 2-3 rounds, and they feel brand new every time I play, just like the Sonars I played last season.  I love the tackiness of these grips.  Great job Lamkin!

Does anyone have an issue with their UTX grips where some versions of the grip don't seem to have near as much cord exposed as the other ones?  I have some red ones, black ones, and the blue distressed ones and for the life of me, the black and red ones seems more slick than the distressed blue ones.  The blue ones have the most exposed cord from what I can see.  Been debating about just taking some sand paper to it just to rough them up.  Sorry, little off topic...

I loved them at first, but became disenchanted by that same in consistency.

wetting them with a towel and patting dry helps mid round, but when they quit making multiple colors I gave up....

Yep, I've got about 50 of them in the garage, but just started regripping with Z-Grips and they're much more consistent from what I can tell.

What are the real world differences between the Sonars and Sonar Tours?  I was between these two grips and decided on the Sonars for a recent regrip, what do you like better about the Tours?

tours are firmer, less tacky but have more ribbing for grip, and don’t feel as large in the hand due to the firmness.

Anyone know if Lamkin is actually going to be releasing their 2021 products anytime soon?

the 21 Lamkin are stock on several OEMs clubs this year so I would Think they are filling those contracts first before retail

unfortunately

the golf business is exploding still and strained right now with supply

I wouldn’t doubt there a whole container of grips sitting on a ship off California right now

Im really enjoying the st hybrid +2 on the driver. Much superior grip than my TV. Want to replace full set now but will probably wait til end of year as new irons may be possible. Also will give me a chance to see how the durability is. If it holds up all season, its a huge winner in my book.

Love the Sonars.  Super grippy and sorta forgiving and not rough on the hands.
