I dug in the issue a little deeper.  The Thai players who'll be playing are part of Ladies Asian Tour (LAT); Atthaya isn't a member of LAT.

It appears COVID Quarantine requirements may be the reason why Atthaya and Patty aren't in the field:

"Princess Mary Superral (23) of the Philippines participating in this competition drew attention when she announced her intention to participate in the competition even though she had to self-isolate for two weeks."

Thanks @18majorsfor the digging/ info...

That KLPGA promo poster 🖼 you shared...

🤔apart from Yealimi, can you now help with the ‘ear worm’ 👂 🐛 of “Name those Korean LPGA Pros” featured in the promo poster? (eg is that InGee Chun with short hair wearing a Red shirt? ...Probably Not?) Looks a bit like InGee (but she’s grown her hair longer than that, right?)

I'm not buying the Covid protocol or quarantine reason....Patty was in Arkansas...so was Lydia, Noh & Minjee.

Does S. Korea have Thailand on their quarantine list?....I doubt it.

Patty and Thitikul are on Hana's website as official 'brand ambassadors" along with the other Hana sponsored pros...male & female.

I'd be shocked that both were not invited and allowed to decline an invite.

Who cares about 2022....I gotta believe Patty is still and currently on contract with Hana.

Wouldn't all their contracts include T&C's of certain Hana requested playing obligations?

I gotta believe Thitikul was invited .......and allowed to decline???

Why would she decline to play in a 15,000,000,000 won purse yet play in much smaller LET purse events???

I gotta believe Patty and Thitikul's participation would really raise the interest and profile of the event...even to Korean fans.

At the 2018 Int'l Crown...the Korean fans also cheered for Ariya, Jess K, etc.

It just doesn't make sense to me that the 2 Thai's are absent ...with Ko, Noh & Lee present.

Atthaya is the first ambassador of the Ladies Asian Tour (LAT) Series so she should be playing the Hana Championship this week.

The real reason that she has to stay in Thailand (she also withdrew from the LET's Aramco New York tournament next month) could be her US visa problem.

Her local management team said that the only reason she had to fly back to Thailand was to apply for US visa. The US embassy in Thailand, however, is swamped with visa applications that the waiting list for interview is over 12 months as of today.

From the bottom, left to right:

Min Ji Park

Yealimi, Minjee Lee, Lydia

Bo Kyeom Park, Hyun Kyung Park, Na Rin An

@18majors Noted with thanks for these answers (and the gentlemanly correction!)

Honest mistake wrt the poster-girl/ "Lady in Red"💃 ... "InGee" vs "MinJee" 🙂

This is serious, we may not able to watch Jeeno in person in the US at all; she can't play LPGA Q-School if she doesn't get US visa in time.

Have her management team thought about contacting people like Beth Ann Nichols through Twitter?  She maybe able to arouse public attention to this issue and accelerate the process.

Minjee Lee continued her excellent play in Korea; she has five Top-5 in six tournament since Dow Great Lakes in July.

Conversely, both Lydia and Yealimi were struggling around the cutline.

i can "Decipher" the standings!!! thanks to the flags LOL.

One more round to go, Minjee Leads the tournament by one at -13 and Lydia is -10 and T7.

I think Minjee topped her 2nd shot on the par 5 18th and had 210-220 left for her 3rd shot....and left it short.....I thought she was headed for a bogey....she drained a 70-80 ft putt for birdie....WTH.

She'll have a ton of competition on Sunday for the title.

I don't know if Lydia can pull it off with so many players at the top of the leader board.

@Kaysquare and @BadgerLin won't like Lydia anymore....1st time I've seen Lydia wearing knee highs.

Maybe some Korean fanboy bought her some.🤣

1) I don’t mind the knee high look.  Always liked Ai Miyazato’s knee highs.

2) And I have to say Lydia is looking so much better with her snappy clothing contract this season.  Big improvement over the drawstring gym shorts she wore last year!

1) I 1st saw Ai wear knee highs I think back in 2010....I didn't care for the look.

I miss Ai, Ji Ya Shin. Lorena, etc...all pure class.

In 2014, we started playing golf with a very attractive Korean lady who always wore a short skort, knee highs and pantyhose...then I started to like the look...it's a pretty common look here with the younger Asian female crowd here....40-50ish.

Back in Korea....it's a big golf fashion show for all golfers.

2) I don't recall Lydia drawstring shorts???...are you thinking about Danielle.

I haven't seen Lydia in person since her weight loss...she must be so skinny in real life nowadays.

The player who has really upped her game in the fashion department is In Gee....Fair Liar has done a great job with her fashion now....even knee highs too.🤣

FWIW...Minjee is normally always well dressed....but she had such a FUGLY shirt yesterday.

"Tell me you didn't watch Lydia Ko play in 2019 & 2020 without telling me."

The shorts were one of the main items from her time wearing Lululemon.

"Drawstring" is a good descriptor, but the term may bring to mind Danielle's Adidas athletic shorts for you.

Chip Wilson owner of Lululemon has a house valued at $67M here....lol.

Minjee lost the playoff to Ga Eun Song; they're tied after 72 holes at -15.

Lydia hanged in there and finished -13 and T5.

I fell asleep after Minjee got to -16....I think 2nd place players were at -14???....I thought Minjee would win.

Woke up and saw the last of the playoff.

IMO....Minjee isn't a great closer...same like So Yeon.

BUT

Winning is so hard....nerves, etc.

Minjee looked very insincere in her hug to the winner.

Hana should FORCED Patty and Thitikul's hand and got them to play....I think one of them might have pulled off a win.

Unless the trophy is carved from some exotic rock....it looks cheap...like a $30 vase from Bed & Bath.

The winner got KILLED with a water shower.

The Koreans are so funny...the execs at the trophy presentation all had corsages....lol....was this a HS prom?

He's no longer the owner.  It's gone public a while back and I understand that the share distribution is sufficiently high enought that any stock that Wilson has is not enough to get him on the Board, let alone a managment position.  Institutional investment firms are in control of Lululemon now.    But, Wilson does have a nice house.

Lydia is still sponsored by Lululemon as a Global Ambassador and clothing sponsor (primarily on her athleisure wear, but also some of the golf apparel line).

Seems like Wilson decided to leave in 2015.

He still has 8.75% of the shares and Fidelity & Vanguard with approx 15% & 8% ownership.
