In the interview, Bianca does say that she would be willing to give up 3-4 yards in distance, for better approach shots, proximity to the hole, short game and putting.  The goes on to say that it is completely "doable" as she has the luxury of hitting wedges and short irons into the greens more than most.

I must say that she seems to have matured a fair bit since last year when she was the doe-eyed rookie, blinded by the bright lights of the LPGA, particularly the KPMG and the Drive On at Lake Reynolds.

Yeah, for sure.  Lydia's strength has always been her approaches and her short game . . . maybe that is something for Bianca to consider . . . all she has to do is relocate to Lake Nona from SoCal.

I only skimmed the podcast and didn't listen to the whole thing.

LOL...3-4 yards is nothing...I was thinking she might be giving up 15-30 yards using a FW or hybrid if her driver was causing her strokes and trouble.

Seems like it's Bianca's course mgmt might be one of several issues causing poor performance.

IMO....great/very good putters are born and not necessarily made.

Look at Lexi....2021 is her 10th year on tour...she still kinda s*cks at putting...same with the Canuck Golden Child....and this Chinese POSER too....though my avg putts per rd is actually in line with my cap...same with my GIR's too.

The tax rate in FLA is better than Cali.

If Tina won't rent Bianca a room....maybe BJ can....though I think he's in Jupiter...he must be bored and can take Bianca in as a pet project...he must miss bossing someone around other than Bo.🤣.

I know Lydia is in Orlando...but is she in the Lake Nona community?

Another question....what was Bianca's highest WAGR ranking as an Am?....in my books....gals who have been top 5 ....especially top 3.... for any sustained duration have a good probability as a prolonged and contending LPGA pro.

Nelly's team has scheduled a big announcement in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 31!  Expect something Juicy?

So let's see a link on this announcement.

And why LA?...both Nelly and Chris M are based in the Tampa area?

Yes, it could be a company with a HQ in the LA area.

I doubt I'm correct...but if I had to connect some dots.

I'm thinking Hugel-Air Premia is ending their sponsorship on the LPGA event in LA and maybe....Hanwha - Q Cells is now the new sponsor???...then maybe Jenny Shin will be in LA too?

Or it could be some sort of fundraiser - awareness event with Nelly dressed in Hallowe'en garb?

It does seem odd that a "major"...LMAO....announcement would occur on a SUNDAY....Oct 31.

BUT

It would be Nov 1 in S. Korea though...my Hanwha guesstimate???

Well no Golf here in the Pacific Northwest for a few days ... we're going to get hit with the first major storm of the season...plenty of Rain again ...upwards of 2-4 inches (50 mm+)   within a short period of a few hours!

OH SHUT UP....I'm living this NIGHTMARE too.

WTH....muck hole golf has already started in October...only 5-6 more months of this NONSENSE.

I played on Tues....I need to bring my ball retriever next time (OK...stop laughing....I hawk balls too....hey I'm Chinese) because there are now rainfall ponds/lakes in the bunkers and fairways...WTF.

My yoga teacher (who was zooming from Lake Tahoe yesterday) announced she's packing it up and heading to Arizona. She said everyone in the Tahoe area is "excited" about the storm coming in as they are desperate for water. 👍

California is one area that is desperate for lots of precipitation!  Their reservoirs are so low that they won't worry about flooding . . . just be careful with mud slides, etc. from the intense rainfall.

It's kinda feast or famine here in RAINcouver.

Many times we might be in drought conditions (this year for sure) from June to August...playing golf on courses that don't spend a lot on maintenance....with baked out bare patches in the fairways and concrete type bunkers......

,,,and then from Nov-Mar (some years Oct-Apr) suffered from pools of water on  the fairways and bunkers...with lift, clean & cheat a MUST in order to play.

But shockingly and sad....the SW coast of BC is only the place in Canada for year round golf.

I know I know...I need to live a life of a winter Canadian SnowBird in the southern US...but I know the Mericans hate we Canucks taking over the golf courses ...golfing in shorts when it's only 45*F outside.🤣...and sun tanning on the beaches when it's 50*F.

Could be worse . . . 😂 . . . for those old enough to remember this skit.  Hard to believe that they are both gone now.

Funny you should post this....I think I saw this vid on Youtube a few weeks ago.

A few weeks ago....I also watched 20/20 on ABC....it could have been Dateline...anyways.

They had a special about the murder of the owner of the Chippendale tour....I didn't know there was so much DRAMA with Chippendale or how much money the brand was producing.

Not LPGA stuff

BUT

Now we know who 18majors is....he's Brentley Romine....more unnecessary media shilling for the FUTURE Great Lady of China (Yani offer, for those who don't understand).

Obviously a slow week for the media.

UGH...Giggle Paige is working East Lake....and Amy Rogers has a promotion to work the College Central desk alongside Jim Gallagher Jr.

FWIW I was/am a HUGE FANBOY of Jim's sister...LPGA pro Jackie.

It always surprised me that Vicki Goetze-Ackerman didn't have more success on tour, but she's had quite a career in golf anyway.

So when and/or will JYK sign a club/OEM endorsement?

I think Bridgestone irons are nice...but so rarely used by golfers.

I only recently played with a member who was gaming Bridgestone irons.

Their golf balls are pretty good...but not overly popular.

TW's endorsement helped a bit with sales...including my friend who has bought a few dozen of the Tour B XS's

Yes, VGA took her golf career in a different direction and good for her.

IMO...she didn't compete well due to lack of length...a good short game will only take one so far.

OK OK...exception Inbee and Lydia.

Ya there are others too...including the men's game too.

No

I wasn't paying much attention to HJL and often FF'd my recording when she was playing...although I was looking on line to see if her bogey free streak was continuing.

I was watching and rooting for JYK to win.

BESIDES....I was too busy FAWNING & DROOLING and distracted watching The LOVELY knee high wearing Hee Young Park & In Gee to pay any attention to HJL.🤣

I was also watching GIMMEE too and MEMORIZED by Dumbo's black bow tie to notice HJL.🤣

FWIW...BTW...I know you HATE the commercial with the soldier suffering from PTSD...but I HATE the Uber Eats commercial with Elton and the black guy...SO ANNOYING.

Healthsouth Hospital company on her hat??? Hmmm.... Between Healthsouth, and all these other hospital companies involved in "Financial Shenanigans" I'm still looking for anyone sponsored by Enron during those days LOL

LOL.

Remember when the head of Tyco was caught expensing a $6000 shower curtain and someone else told me a nut ball story of Ebbers from MCI.

Those were some crazy times.

I'm sure those guys jail cells are a lot bigger and nicer than my house.🤣

I noticed it late in the final round when Jin Young and Hee Jeong were waiting on the 18th teebox. Their white and black Bridgestone bags were in the same frame.

Speaking of Sponsors, Aditi Ashok announced on Instagram she was “proud to announce her first sponsor” Radisson Hotel Group Americas. Surely this isn’t her first sponsor ever? I remember her having a few Titleist logos a while back. I also

thought most of the Indian players were sponsored by Hero as well.

There was a time, maybe 5-6 years ago? when Juli Inkster went without a sponsor for a while until Italian Jewelry brand Fope signed her.

Beth Allen who at that time was a solid player on the European Tour also went without a sponsor.

On the other hand, one of tennis player Bianca Andreescu’s first sponsors was a Canadian restaurant chain and her contract with them was up around the time she won the US Open and if I’m not mistaken resigned with them out of loyalty although they are a smaller company.

When Emma Raducanu won the US Open (tennis) a former sports agent said that if her team was smart she could garner up to 20-25 sponsors.

That seems a bit excessive. If you have 25 sponsors those are 25 extra commitments  you now have. I’ve always thought that I’d be somewhat picky if I were a touring pro and that I would almost rather avoid equipment and clothing sponsors. Some clothing companies make ugly clothes and you still have to wear it.

Jin Young did move ahead of Nelly in the Rolex rankings. She has a 0.02 point lead, so things could flip-flop in the next few weeks.

Very impressive accomplishments by Virginia. I also read Allisen Corpuz recently graduated with a Master’s. Glad to see you can have a brain while playing golf.

Does anyone else recall the story of Belen Mozo treating Virginia poorly at Kingsmill and Pornanong Phatlum coming in to save the day?

Virginia has obviously shown she is talented in more than one area. Belen couldn’t make it as a golfer, lives off her boyfriend’s talent and fame and is only pretty to look at (if you’re in to fake blonds). Virginia could influence policy or the corporate world on a high level all on her own and never touch a club again.
