Mollie chirps about growing the game and more exposure to the LPGA...how is no TV, no spectators, no pro-am growing the exposure to the LPGA game...especially if the LPGA is funding the purse....there has yet to be an announcement of a presenting sponsor.

The only upsides I see to this event, and it may be a bit of a stretch, is that it adds an event to the calendar so that hopefully the middle tier of players can make some $$ and that is always a "gamble" in that they have to play well enough to get into the larger amounts or it could be a net expense rather than a net income proposition.

Secondly, the idea of it being a "streaming only" event has the potential for the LPGA to gain some working knowledge on how to make this a more permanent feature of the LPGA so that they can increase exposure through an alternate platform, and of course how to monetize it.  I see this as being the "upside" with the most potential if that is what the LPGA actually sets out to do (i.e.:  develop working knowledge).

Yes, Jan is one of many retired pros that I like.

Jan is the SINGULAR reason why I started to watch the LPGA...back in the 70's and 80's...IMO...she was the ONLY LPGA SMOKESHOW....I never cared for Laura Baugh.

I have a DVD of an instructional golf vid by Jan....but I have no clue where it is nowadays....I also have a selfie with Jan from 1980...again...no clue where it is.

I understand Jan can be a bit of a B*TCH.....that's OK....I like my women FIESTY and GOOD LOOKING.🤣

I heard Jan walked out of a pro-am because she thought one of the Am's was a TOOL.

The sun really took a toll on Jan's face as she aged.

I also like another Oz gal golfer too....Nikki Garrett (sp??)...another SMOKESHOW.

I'm a Su Oh fanboy...and I do like Minjee...even though she has no personality and a sore loser.🤣

Which golf ball in the bath tub were you?

Or were you hiding under the golf balls?

🤣

We still don't know if there is a presenting sponsor funding the purse.

If the LPGA is coughing up the purse....if they wanted to assist the gals to make more money....it would have been a lot simpler just to cut a $15000 cheque to the 50-150....2022 priority ranked pros.

Hopefully Mollie replaces the HS kid running lpga.com with a competent PAID employee to manage the website so we can all see accurate and timely updates to the lpga.com scoreboard from Feb 3-5.

SMOKESHOWS are my Kryptonite.🤣

These were 2 posters hanging in my bedroom as a teen.

I also LUV Barbara Eden...but to my recollection...there was no I Dream of Jeannie poster.

IMO....Barbara Eden is still a SMOKESHOW and she's 90.

Agreed . . . and as I mentioned, holding an event merely for the sake of holding an event may be a stretch as to an upside! 😂

Especially from a host club that is DICTATING what can and what can't be done to conduct the event.

Let's face it...with the pandemic golf BOOM and with the GOOD/IN DEMAND private clubs who have 2-5 year waitlists, even with increased initiations...the tee sheets are FULL...why would members give up their course, clubhouse, locker room, etc for 2 weeks.

The GM and the members at Crown Colony are LAUGHING at Bush & the LPGA who have agreed to their terms.

Monahan would have told Crown Colony to F*********.

LUV Dumbo.....Korean SMOKESHOW.

In bold...you have some questionable taste...WTH???

I'd just invite FIGJAM....he's GENEROUS....likely would buy me a house as a wedding gift.🤣

I like Georgia, she has a girl next door look. She could do much better than Harry, her current boyfriend.

I like Dottie too. I like her accent although it is typical of a Filipina woman. I think I will probably end up marrying a Filipina, people have told me that. I don’t know what that even means. A cousin of mine in Cali married a Filipina and they were divorced pretty quickly probably because ahe hated to deal with all the women he’s had children with.  Another good friend of mine from college took a job in vietnam and is pretty close to marrying a Vietnamese woman. I hope they have the wedding there.

Some of the guests would be to bring attention/ fun to my wedding not necessarily because I find them physically attractive. Simi and Dame Laura would be a hoot.

There have been so much more media coverage on LPGA players, everything is on the right track:

What’s Nelly Korda’s secret to good tempo? It involves a soda

GettyImages-1354723208.jpg

No surprise Nelly is not a club ho or techie...many of the LPGA gals can't do a WITB without the assistance of the OEM rep.

Glad to hear Nelly doesn't like to aimlessly beat balls on the range.

I myself would always rather play golf than beat balls and like to drop a couple of balls on the course if I want to work on something.

IMO...a range, practice green and chipping area are often too 1 dimensional.

I'm not surprised Nelly isn't into "social golf"....golf is her job.....Nelly also seems like a bit of an introvert....there are many golfers who are introverts.

Golf is a fantastic past time to play or practice on your own.

I'm the opposite....I like the social aspect of golf....I HATE golfing alone and want to be paired up...even if my playing partners can't speak English or don't bother to chat.

When is Tiger going to start letting Charlie collect NIL money? Day 1 he's making more than all Kordas combined.

How old is Tiger's daughter? Maybe Danielle Kang, Nelly and Alison Lee, no scratch Alison, Yelimi Noh can take her out for a girl's weekend. Plant some seeds of how great the tour is, tell her it's a much better deal than playing pro soccer. Then in three years she can play with her dad and boom! She starts a huge new wave of interest in golf by young girls.

PGA Tour is conscious to include LPGA members in their publicities, but unfortunately they didn't include Jin Young Ko:

I would also have InBee on the list , for putting ! (And not just “on the List”... At/Near the Top?)

But! From the provided List... my choices would be

..DJ $20

..Morikawa $30

..Lefty ( f.k.a. FIGJAM?) $30

..Lydia $20 (would swap with InBee here)

The disrespect shown to Jin Young Ko is truly PATHETIC....she should tell many to FO.

Here the Rolex ranked #1 is being threatened to be kicked off the course at Torrey....she and her friends really were not doing any harm...simply taking some selfies and not disturbing anyone.

Anyone believe if Jon Rahm showed up at a LPGA event he'd be watching outside the ropes?....... and threatened to be escorted off the course?...I think not.

Was this the regular PGA Tour event or the US Open?   At the US Open, the USGA invited Yuka Saso inside the ropes where she walked a practice round with Rory and his caddie.  They also did a few social media spots of the 2021 USWO Champion being on-site.

I'm presuming by the outerwear that this is the PGA Tour event?

Has JYK been on the cover of US Golf Digest yet? I'm assuming these four were featured on the cover of the magazine.

Regardless, I'm pretty confident that JYK would have been on the cover of a Korean version of GD (if one exists), but that is no excuse either as GD should do their homework.  Lydia belongs in the Short Game column with Inbee in the Putting column and DK would get bumped (if GD was insistent on limiting it to 1 LPGA player per column).

More on Annie Park . . .

Here is a link to her story/interview:

Good score to get an interview with Annie.....I'll read.... and listen to the podcast later.

I saw Annie at the 2016 KPMG...she's better looking in real life.

I didn't watch her play....I basically only fanboyed The LOVELY Hee Young Park, Lydia and watched #LUGGATEGATE the 2 days I was there.

Did you attend?

So where is the Zoom thing with Virada?

The Farmers.

You mean Smiley Mike invited Yuka...just sayin.

JYK should have signed up with the Death Star (IMG)...they would have scored that $100M 7 year endorsement for her.

She could have had IMG arrange for a limo or at least valet parking, VIP passes, access to hospitality suites and access inside the ropes for she and her friends at The Farmers instead of being threaten by some CLUELESS cop.
