Most definitely. Some of my favorite irons ever are x forged sets from years past. But, I feel like visually that line went away from what it once was. They didn’t have a players cb that could visually go toe to toe with the likes of the ZX7, 620CB, Mizuno JPX or MP, etc. at least until the TCB.

Talked to a few people that didn’t like the xfcb and went with something else only to say they would have definitely put the TCB in the conversation after they saw my set.

I understand their frustration. And rightfully so. Exploring golf forums should have to be a full time job to find your right irons... although it is for me.

Haha, I tell them that they should consult me first.  Let me be the gear addict for them.

Hitting the course today with the new TCB's - had a good session with the hard rock balls at the range last night and really like a few things about these clubs.  The smaller head is a nice visual coming from the Apex Pro '21 - not too much smaller, but enough of a change it reminds me at address of how some of my smaller blades in the past framed the ball.  Also found my flight was lower, but that could be a combination of the head and moving over to the MMT 105tx from the X100's.  The feel of the graphite shaft with the TCB head is really, really nice.  Oh, and knocking 5 swingweights off my set is a nice bonus too (now at D7 with a +1.5" build).

As for my old set of Apex Pro '21's...I'm playing with another former basketball player who has the same iron specs as me but is still using an old set of Taylormade R11 irons (https://www.taylormadegolf.com/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-TMaG-Library/default/v1463473265710/docs/productspecs/R11_Irons.pdf).  I'm excited to let him try my hand-me-down Callaways!

They are working on the site. I was told only 100 sets will be available. Keep checking the site in the next few days for updates. I have also heard the Triple Diamond heads could also be listed as well.

No VIP for either item for guys who know what that is

They are up on the site.

Glad I purchased through the UK, Callaway is not even offering Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 as an option.  Assuming there are still shortages on components (shafts, grips, etc.).

Think they are a great set of irons, but Callaway really seems to be half-Word not alloweding with these for whatever reasons.

I just checked the Apex Pro.  TI X100 isn't on there either.  Likely an availability problem.

Another Sub 80 round with the TCB today, that is not much for a lot of WRXer's but for a guy that was struggling to break 90 a month ago it is a huge improvement and I left 4 birdie's on the Course.

It's a stupid game (I say that a lot but love it) we played a shotgun start as we do during our Sunday money game and we started on a Par 3 and made a 50 ft putt for the only birdie of the day. Missed 3 from 8-15' and one from about 20' that was a make a wish putt, but having a look at them is a nice change and it is the irons giving me the chances.

The 4 iron continues to be a blast and I am seriously thinking of getting rid of the 5 wood and getting the 3 iron. The 5 wood was just a too good to pass up deal but not really a weapon so far.

Does anyone know what the lead time is on a custom order of TCBs?  I heard Callaway was moving faster than the other oems

I ordered mine about a month ago through my club. They were here in a week. I gave them 5 shaft options to aid w/ shaft availability issues.

They are now up on Callaway site. Believe it is saying 2-3 weeks.

I put in a question to my Callaway rep if they would sell a 3 iron alone, it is not listed on the website as possible but you never know.

Finally my set arrived today after 7 weeks of waiting.

Unpacked the box and noticed right away something was wrong. Callaway installed the Project X LS 6.5 instead of the Project X LZ 6.5 that I ordered?

Come on Callaway how is this even possible? Ordered these from UK and I'm in Sweden, have no idea how this will be sorted out but the first answer I got from the shop in UK was to send the clubs back. That will never happened, Callaway need to sent me the shafts that I ordered and paid for.

Except for that, really good looking clubs. Here is the 7 iron compared to a Miura MB-001 7 iron.

My attempt to buy a tcb 3 iron only from Callway is not possible at this time so I picked up a XF CB 3 iron off Callaway pre owned to give a try. The slightly bigger head might turn out be be a good fit for the limited use it will get.

That's unfortunate for sure. Mine shipped with the LS and I couldn't figure them out to save my life. Everything was bottom grooved.

Swapped to the Nippon LSL protos and fell in love. There's hope!

Cally should make it right for you and hopefully ship the correct shafts. Don't give up on these heads, they're pretty special!

Yes I can't stand this shaft.

Only shaft except the LZ is Nippon Modus 120X or a Mitsubishi MMT.

Really do like the heads.

After a week of testing, I can say that these will replace my T100's. I have the Raw version with MMT 125 stiffs in them and these are fantastic. To me, they feel like a Miura TC201 combined with the '19 Apex Pro if that makes any sense. I'm surprised how forgiving they are on toe strikes.

What swingspeed are you? What shafts did you have in your T100?

Thinking of the MMT 125 but not sure to go with S or X?

Thank you

89-92mph 6 iron. I had the MMT 105S in my T100's - I liked them but I prefer the heavier weight.

I have put a 105 into my 4 Iron

Don't sleep on the Catalyst 100 if you are not really weight sensitive, they are awesome in the 6.0 for my slower SS. I bet the 6.5 would fit a lot of people , the XF CB 3 iron will be here tomorrow with a X100 stiff shaft.

I will try it for giggles but I would think the weight difference will be a drawback for me. I have a Excaliber 85 stiff in the garage to put in, that might be a good combination for a driving iron type club.

Yes I know but the fingers was faster then the brain.

I'm also around 92-93ss with 6 iron and prefer heavier shafts. You think the S is the right way to go and the TX is to stiff. Did you tried it in TX?

The TX felt too stout to me. I like to feel some load in the shaft.
